And
in all things that
I have said
unto you
be circumspect:
and make no
mention
of the name
of other gods,
neither let it
be heard
out of thy mouth.
Take heed
to thyself,
lest
thou make
a covenant
with the inhabitants
of the land
whither
thou goest,
lest it
be for a snare
in the midst
of thee:
Only take
heed to thyself,
and keep
thy soul diligently,
lest
thou forget
the things
which thine
eyes
have seen,
and lest
they depart
from thy heart
all the days
of thy life:
but teach them
thy sons,
and thy sons' sons;
Take
heed
unto yourselves,
lest
ye forget
the covenant
of the LORD your God,
which he
made
with you,
and make you
a graven image,
or the likeness
of any thing,
which the LORD thy God
hath forbidden thee.
Take
heed
to yourselves,
that your heart
be not deceived,
and
ye turn aside,
and serve
other gods,
and worship them;
Take
heed
to thyself
that thou
offer not thy
burnt
offerings
in every
place that
thou seest:
And Moses
and the priests
the Levites
spake unto all Israel,
saying,
Take heed,
and hearken,
O Israel;
this day thou
art become
the people
of the LORD thy God.
But take diligent
heed
to do the commandment
and the law,
which Moses the servant
of the LORD
charged you,
to love the LORD
your God,
and
to walk
in all his ways,
and to keep
his commandments,
and to cleave unto him,
and
to serve him
with all your heart
and
with all your soul.
Take good
heed therefore
unto yourselves,
that ye
love
the LORD your God.
And keep
the charge
of the LORD thy God,
to walk
in his ways,
to keep his statutes,
and his commandments,
and his judgments,
and his testimonies,
as it is written
in the law
of Moses,
that thou
mayest prosper
in all
that thou doest,
and whithersoever
thou turnest thyself:
Therefore now,
LORD God
of Israel,
keep
with thy servant David
my father
that thou promisedst him,
saying,
There shall not fail
thee a man
in my sight to sit
on the throne
of Israel;
so that thy children
take
heed
to their way,
that they
walk
before me as thou
hast walked
before me.
Wherefore now let the fear
of the LORD
be upon you;
take
heed
and do it:
for there is no iniquity
with the LORD our God,
nor respect
of persons,
nor taking
of gifts.
Nevertheless
we made
our prayer
unto our God,
and set
a watch
against them day and night,
because
of them.
Because there is wrath,
beware lest
he take thee
away with his stroke:
then a great ransom
cannot deliver thee.
Will
he esteem
thy riches?
no,
not gold,
nor all
the forces
of strength.
Desire
not the night,
when people
are cut off
in their place.
Take heed,
regard not iniquity:
for this
hast
thou chosen rather than
affliction.
I said,
I will take
heed to my ways,
that I
sin not
with my tongue:
I will keep my mouth
with a bridle,
while the wicked
is
before me.
I watch,
and am as a sparrow alone
upon the house top.
Wherewithal
shall
a young man
cleanse
his way?
by taking
heed thereto according to
thy word.
Set a watch,
O LORD,
before my mouth;
keep the door
of my lips.
Keep thy heart
with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues
of life.
Let thine
eyes
look right on,
and let
thine eyelids
look straight
before thee.
Ponder the path
of thy feet,
and let all
thy ways
be established.
Blessed is the man
that heareth me,
watching daily
at my gates,
waiting
at the posts
of my doors.
The highway
of the upright
is to depart
from evil:
he that
keepeth
his way
preserveth his soul.
He that
trusteth in his own
heart is a fool:
but
whoso walketh wisely,
he shall be delivered.
He that
dasheth in pieces
is come up
before thy face:
keep the munition,
watch the way,
make thy loins strong,
fortify thy
power mightily.
And did not
he make one?
Yet had
he the residue
of the spirit.
And wherefore one?
That he
might seek
a godly seed.
Therefore take
heed
to your spirit,
and let none
deal treacherously
against the wife
of his youth.
Take heed that
ye do not
your alms
before men,
to be seen of them:
otherwise
ye have
no reward
of your Father
which is in heaven.
Then Jesus
said unto them,
Take
heed
and beware
of the leaven
of the Pharisees
and of the Sadducees.
Take heed that
ye despise not one
of these little ones;
for I
say unto you,
That in heaven
their angels
do always behold the face
of my Father
which is in heaven.
And Jesus
answered
and
said unto them,
Take
heed
that no man
deceive you.
Watch therefore,
for ye
know
neither the day
nor the hour
wherein the Son
of man cometh.
And
he cometh unto the disciples,
and findeth them asleep,
and saith unto Peter, What,
could
ye not watch
with me one hour?
Watch and pray,
that ye
enter not
into temptation:
the spirit
indeed is willing,
but the flesh
is weak.
And
he said unto them,
Take
heed
what ye hear:
with what
measure
ye mete,
it shall be measured
to you:
and unto you
that hear
shall more be given.
But take
heed
to yourselves:
for they
shall deliver
you up to councils;
and
in the synagogues
ye shall be beaten:
and
ye shall be brought
before rulers
and kings
for my sake,
for a testimony
against them.
And
then if any man
shall say to you,
Lo,
here is Christ;
or,
lo,
he is there;
believe him not:
For false Christs
and false prophets
shall rise,
and shall shew
signs
and wonders,
to seduce,
if it
were possible,
even the elect.
But take
ye heed:
behold,
I have foretold
you all things.
But
of that day
and that hour
knoweth
no man,
no,
not the angels
which are in heaven,
neither the Son,
but the Father.
Take
ye heed,
watch and pray:
for ye
know not
when the time is.
For the Son
of Man
is as a man
taking a far journey,
who left
his house,
and gave authority
to his servants,
and to every man
his work,
and commanded
the porter
to watch.
Watch ye
therefore:
for ye
know not
when
the master
of the house cometh,
at even,
or at midnight,
or at the cockcrowing,
or in the morning:
Lest coming suddenly
he find
you sleeping.
And
what
I say unto you
I say unto all,
Watch.
Take
heed therefore
that the light
which is in thee
be not darkness.
And
he said unto them,
Take heed,
and beware
of covetousness:
for a man's life
consisteth not
in the abundance
of the things
which he possesseth.
Let your loins
be girded about,
and your lights burning;
And
ye yourselves like
unto men
that wait
for their lord,
when
he will return
from the wedding;
that when
he cometh
and knocketh,
they may open
unto him immediately.
Blessed are those servants,
whom the lord
when
he cometh
shall find watching:
verily
I say unto you,
that he
shall gird himself,
and make them to
sit down to meat,
and will come
forth and serve them.
And
if he
shall come in
the second watch,
or come in
the third watch,
and find them so,
blessed are those servants.
And this know,
that if the goodman
of the house
had known
what
hour the thief
would come,
he would have watched,
and not have suffered
his house
to be broken through.
Be ye therefore ready also:
for the Son
of man
cometh at an hour
when
ye think not.
Take heed therefore
unto yourselves,
and
to all the flock,
over the which the Holy Ghost
hath made
you overseers,
to feed the church
of God,
which he
hath purchased
with his own blood.
For I
know this,
that after my departing
shall grievous wolves
enter in
among you,
not sparing
the flock.
Also of your own selves
shall men arise,
speaking perverse things,
to draw away disciples
after them.
Therefore watch,
and remember,
that by the space
of three years
I ceased not
to warn every one
night and day with tears.
For if God
spared not
the natural branches,
take heed lest
he also spare not thee.
And that,
knowing the time,
that now
it is high
time
to awake out of sleep:
for now is
our salvation nearer
than
when we believed.
But this
I say,
brethren,
the time
is short:
it remaineth,
that both
they that
have
wives be as
though they
had none;
And
they that weep,
as though
they wept not;
and
they that rejoice,
as though
they rejoiced not;
and
they that buy,
as though
they possessed not;
And
they that use
this world,
as not abusing it:
for the fashion
of this world passeth away.
But
I keep
under my body,
and bring it
into subjection:
lest
that by any means,
when
I have preached
to others,
I myself
should be a castaway.
Wherefore let him
that thinketh
he standeth
take
heed lest
he fall.
But let a man
examine himself,
and so
let him
eat of that bread,
and drink
of that cup.
Watch ye,
stand fast
in the faith,
quit you like men,
be strong.
Brethren,
if a man
be overtaken
in a fault,
ye which
are spiritual,
restore
such an one
in the spirit
of meekness;
considering thyself,
lest
thou also be tempted.
See
then that
ye walk circumspectly,
not as fools,
but as wise,
Praying always
with all prayer
and supplication
in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto
with all perseverance
and supplication
for all saints;
Beware of dogs,
beware
of evil workers,
beware
of the concision.
Let your moderation
be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand.
Continue
in prayer,
and watch
in the same
with thanksgiving;
And say
to Archippus,
Take
heed
to the ministry
which thou
hast received
in the Lord,
that thou fulfil it.
But ye,
brethren,
are not
in darkness,
that that day
should overtake you
as a thief.
Therefore let us
not sleep,
as do others;
but let us
watch and be sober.
Prove all things;
hold
fast
that which
is good.
Take
heed
unto thyself,
and
unto the doctrine;
continue in them:
for in doing this
thou shalt both save thyself,
and them that
hear thee.
But watch
thou
in all things,
endure afflictions,
do the work
of an evangelist,
make full proof
of thy ministry.
Therefore we
ought to give
the more earnest
heed
to the things
which we
have heard,
lest at any time
we should let them slip.
Take heed,
brethren,
lest
there be
in any
of you an evil heart
of unbelief,
in departing
from the living God.
Looking diligently
lest any man
fail of the grace
of God;
lest any root
of bitterness
springing
up trouble you,
and thereby many
be defiled;
Wherefore gird
up the loins
of your mind,
be sober,
and hope
to the end
for the grace
that is
to be brought
unto you
at the revelation
of Jesus Christ;
And
if ye
call on
the Father,
who
without respect
of persons
judgeth according to
every man's work,
pass the time
of your sojourning here
in fear:
But the end
of all things
is at hand:
be ye
therefore sober,
and watch
unto prayer.
Be sober,
be vigilant;
because your adversary
the devil,
as a roaring lion,
walketh about,
seeking whom
he may devour:
We have also
a more sure word
of prophecy;
whereunto
ye do well
that
ye take heed,
as unto a light
that shineth in a dark place,
until the day dawn,
and the day
star
arise
in your hearts:
Ye therefore,
beloved,
seeing
ye know
these things
before,
beware lest
ye also,
being led away
with the error
of the wicked,
fall
from your own stedfastness.
We know
that whosoever
is born
of God
sinneth not;
but he
that is begotten
of God
keepeth himself,
and
that wicked one
toucheth him not.
Look
to yourselves,
that we
lose not those things
which we
have wrought,
but that
we receive
a full reward.
But ye,
beloved,
building up yourselves
on your most holy faith,
praying
in the Holy Ghost,
Keep yourselves
in the love
of God,
looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ
unto eternal life.
Be watchful,
and strengthen
the things
which remain,
that are ready
to die:
for I
have not found thy
works
perfect before God.
Remember therefore how
thou hast received
and heard,
and hold fast,
and repent.
If therefore
thou shalt not watch,
I will come
on thee
as a thief,
and
thou shalt not know
what hour
I will come upon thee.
Behold,
I come quickly:
hold that fast which
thou hast,
that no man
take thy crown.
Behold,
I come
as a thief.
Blessed
is
he that watcheth,
and keepeth his garments,
lest
he walk naked,
and
they see
his shame.
