Hear the right,
O LORD,
attend
unto my cry,
give ear
unto my prayer,
that goeth not
out of feigned lips.
The meek
shall eat
and be satisfied:
they shall praise
the LORD that
seek him:
your heart
shall live
for ever.
This is
the generation
of them that
seek him,
that seek
thy face,
O Jacob.
Selah.
Lead me
in thy truth,
and teach me:
for thou
art the God
of my salvation;
on thee
do
I wait all
the day.
Mine
eyes
are ever toward
the LORD;
for he shall pluck
my feet
out of the net.
When thou saidst,
Seek ye
my face;
my heart
said unto thee,
Thy face,
LORD,
will I seek.
Wait on the LORD:
be of good courage,
and
he shall strengthen
thine heart:
wait,
I say,
on the LORD.
Our soul
waiteth for the LORD:
he is our help
and our shield.
The young lions
do lack,
and suffer hunger:
but they that
seek the LORD
shall not want
any good thing.
Delight thyself
also in the LORD:
and he
shall give
thee the desires
of thine heart.
Rest in the LORD,
and
wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself
because
of him
who prospereth
in his way,
because
of the man
who bringeth wicked devices
to pass.
For evildoers
shall be cut off:
but
those that wait
upon the LORD,
they shall inherit
the earth.
Wait on the LORD,
and keep his way,
and
he shall exalt thee
to inherit
the land:
when the wicked
are cut off,
thou shalt see it.
Hear my prayer,
O LORD,
and give ear
unto my cry;
hold
not thy peace
at my tears:
for I
am a stranger
with thee,
and a sojourner,
as all my fathers were.
I waited patiently
for the LORD;
and
he inclined unto me,
and heard
my cry.
As the hart
panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth
my soul
after thee,
O God.
My soul
thirsteth
for God,
for the living God:
when shall
I come
and appear
before God?
My tears
have been my meat
day and night,
while they
continually say unto me,
Where is thy God?
When
I remember
these things,
I pour
out my soul in me:
for I
had gone
with the multitude,
I went with them
to the house
of God,
with the voice
of joy
and praise,
with a multitude
that kept
holyday.
Why art
thou cast down,
O my soul?
and
why art
thou disquieted
in me?
hope thou in God:
for I
shall yet praise him
for the help
of his countenance.
O my God,
my soul
is cast down within me:
therefore will
I remember thee
from the land
of Jordan,
and
of the Hermonites,
from the hill Mizar.
Deep calleth
unto deep
at the noise
of thy waterspouts:
all thy
waves
and thy
billows
are gone over me.
Yet the LORD
will command
his lovingkindness
in the day time,
and in the night
his song
shall be with me,
and my prayer
unto the God
of my life.
I will say
unto God
my rock,
Why hast
thou forgotten me?
why go I
mourning
because
of the oppression
of the enemy?
As with a sword
in my bones,
mine enemies
reproach me;
while they
say daily unto me,
Where is thy God?
Why art
thou cast down,
O my soul?
and
why art
thou disquieted
within me?
hope thou in God:
for I
shall yet praise him,
who is the health
of my countenance,
and my God.
Have mercy
upon me, O God,
according to
thy lovingkindness:
according
unto the multitude
of thy
tender mercies
blot
out my transgressions.
Wash me
throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me
from my sin.
For I
acknowledge
my transgressions:
and my sin
is ever
before me.
Against thee,
thee only,
have
I sinned,
and done
this evil
in thy sight:
that thou
mightest be justified
when
thou speakest,
and be
clear
when thou judgest.
Behold,
I was
shapen
in iniquity;
and in sin
did my mother
conceive me.
Behold,
thou desirest truth
in the inward parts:
and in the hidden
part thou
shalt make me
to know wisdom.
Purge me
with hyssop,
and
I shall be clean:
wash me,
and
I shall be whiter
than snow.
Make me to hear
joy
and gladness;
that the bones which
thou hast broken
may rejoice.
Hide
thy face
from my sins,
and blot
out all mine iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart,
O God;
and renew
a right spirit
within me.
Cast me not
away from thy presence;
and take not
thy holy spirit
from me.
Restore
unto me the joy
of thy salvation;
and uphold me
with thy free spirit.
Then will
I teach transgressors
thy ways;
and sinners
shall be converted
unto thee.
Deliver me
from bloodguiltiness,
O God,
thou God
of my salvation:
and my tongue
shall sing aloud
of thy righteousness.
O Lord,
open thou
my lips;
and my mouth
shall shew
forth thy praise.
For thou
desirest not sacrifice;
else
would
I give it:
thou delightest not
in burnt offering.
The sacrifices
of God
are a broken spirit:
a broken
and a contrite heart,
O God,
thou wilt not despise.
Truly my soul
waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation.
O God,
thou art
my God;
early
will
I seek thee:
my soul
thirsteth
for thee,
my flesh
longeth for thee
in a dry
and thirsty land,
where no water is;
My soul
followeth hard
after thee:
thy right hand
upholdeth me.
Thy God
hath commanded
thy strength:
strengthen,
O God,
that which
thou
hast wrought for us.
I am
weary
of my crying:
my throat
is dried:
mine
eyes
fail
while I
wait
for my God.
Let all those
that seek thee
rejoice and be glad
in thee:
and let
such as
love thy salvation
say continually,
Let God
be magnified.
I am the LORD
thy God,
which brought thee
out of the land
of Egypt:
open thy
mouth wide,
and
I will fill it.
My soul longeth,
yea,
even fainteth
for the courts
of the LORD:
my heart
and my flesh
crieth out
for the living God.
Teach me thy way,
O LORD;
I will walk
in thy truth:
unite my heart
to fear thy name.
I will praise thee,
O Lord my God,
with all my heart:
and I
will glorify
thy name
for evermore.
In the multitude
of my thoughts
within me thy
comforts
delight my soul.
Seek the LORD,
and his strength:
seek
his face evermore.
I shall not die,
but live,
and declare
the works
of the LORD.
Blessed
are
they that
keep
his testimonies,
and
that seek him
with the whole heart.
With my whole heart
have
I sought thee:
O let me
not wander
from thy commandments.
My soul
breaketh for the longing
that it
hath
unto thy judgments
at all times.
Behold,
I have longed
after thy precepts:
quicken me
in thy righteousness.
Let thy
tender mercies
come unto me,
that I
may live:
for thy law is my delight.
Quicken me
after thy lovingkindness;
so shall
I keep
the testimony
of thy mouth.
Uphold me
according
unto thy word,
that I
may live:
and let me
not be ashamed
of my hope.
Hold thou me up,
and
I shall be safe:
and
I will have
respect
unto thy statutes continually.
Be surety
for thy servant
for good:
let not
the proud
oppress me.
Order my steps
in thy word:
and let not
any iniquity
have dominion
over me.
Hear my voice
according
unto thy lovingkindness:
O LORD,
quicken me according to
thy judgment.
Great
are
thy tender
mercies,
O LORD:
quicken me according to
thy judgments.
Unto thee lift
I up mine eyes,
O thou
that dwellest in the heavens.
Behold,
as the eyes
of servants
look
unto the hand
of their masters,
and as the eyes
of a maiden
unto the hand
of her mistress;
so our eyes
wait
upon the LORD
our God,
until that
he have mercy
upon us.
I wait
for the LORD,
my soul
doth wait,
and in his word
do I hope.
I remember
the days
of old;
I meditate on all
thy works;
I muse
on the work of thy hands.
I stretch
forth my hands
unto thee:
my soul
thirsteth
after thee,
as a thirsty land.
Selah.
Yea,
if thou
criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy
voice
for understanding;
If thou
seekest her
as silver,
and searchest for her as
for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou
understand the fear
of the LORD,
and find
the knowledge
of God.
I love them
that love me;
and those that
seek me early
shall find me.
Blessed is the man
that heareth me,
watching daily
at my gates,
waiting
at the posts
of my doors.
And I
will wait
upon the LORD,
that hideth his face
from the house
of Jacob,
and
I will look for him.
Yea,
in the way
of thy judgments,
O LORD,
have
we waited
for thee;
the desire
of our soul
is to thy name,
and
to the remembrance
of thee.
With my soul
have
I desired thee
in the night;
yea,
with my spirit
within me will
I seek thee early:
for when
thy judgments
are in the earth,
the inhabitants
of the world
will learn
righteousness.
But
they
that wait
upon the LORD
shall renew
their strength;
they shall mount up
with wings
as eagles;
they shall run,
and not be weary;
and
they shall walk,
and not faint.
Ho,
every one that thirsteth,
come
ye to the waters,
and he that
hath no money;
come ye,
buy,
and eat;
yea,
come,
buy wine
and milk
without money
and without price.
Wherefore do
ye spend money
for that
which is not
bread?
and your labour
for that which
satisfieth not?
hearken diligently unto me,
and eat
ye that which
is good,
and let
your soul
delight itself
in fatness.
Seek ye
the LORD
while he
may be found,
call
ye upon him
while he
is near:
And
ye shall seek me,
and find me,
when ye
shall search
for me with all your heart.
The LORD
is good
unto them that wait
for him,
to the soul
that seeketh him.
It is good
that a man
should both hope
and quietly wait
for the salvation
of the LORD.
Let us
lift up our heart
with our hands
unto God
in the heavens.
Sow to yourselves
in righteousness,
reap in mercy;
break up
your fallow ground:
for it
is time
to seek the LORD,
till he come
and rain righteousness
upon you.
O LORD,
I have heard
thy speech,
and was afraid:
O LORD,
revive thy
work
in the midst
of the years,
in the midst
of the years make known;
in wrath
remember mercy.
Blessed
are
they which
do hunger
and thirst
after righteousness:
for they
shall be filled.
Blessed
are
ye that hunger now:
for ye
shall be filled.
Blessed
are
ye that
weep now:
for ye
shall laugh.
But one thing
is needful:
and Mary
hath chosen
that good part,
which shall not be taken away
from her.
And there were certain Greeks
among them that
came up to
worship
at the feast:
The same
came therefore
to Philip,
which was of Bethsaida
of Galilee,
and desired him,
saying,
Sir,
we would see Jesus.
Not as
though I
had already attained,
either were already perfect:
but
I follow after,
if that
I may apprehend that
for which
also I
am apprehended
of Christ Jesus.
Brethren,
I count not myself
to have apprehended:
but this one thing
I do,
forgetting
those things
which are behind,
and reaching forth
unto those things
which are before,
I press toward
the mark
for the prize
of the high calling
of God
in Christ Jesus.
But without faith
it is impossible
to please him:
for he
that
cometh to God
must believe that
he is,
and that he
is a rewarder
of them that
diligently seek him.
