For I
know
that my redeemer
liveth,
and
that he
shall stand
at the latter day
upon the earth:
For the Son
of man
shall come in the glory
of his Father
with his angels;
and
then
he shall reward every man
according to his works.
Verily
I say unto you,
There
be
some standing here,
which shall not taste
of death,
till they
see the Son
of man
coming in
his kingdom.
For I
say unto you,
Ye shall not see me
henceforth,
till ye
shall say,
Blessed
is
he that
cometh in the name
of the Lord.
And as he
sat
upon the mount
of Olives,
the disciples
came
unto him privately,
saying,
Tell us,
when shall
these things be?
and what
shall be
the sign
of thy coming,
and of the end
of the world?
For as the lightning
cometh out of the east,
and shineth even
unto the west;
so shall also
the coming
of the Son of man be.
And
then shall appear
the sign
of the Son
of man
in heaven:
and
then shall all
the tribes
of the earth mourn,
and they
shall see
the Son of man
coming in
the clouds
of heaven
with power
and great glory.
And he
shall send
his angels
with a great sound
of a trumpet,
and
they shall gather
together his elect
from the four winds,
from one end
of heaven
to the other.
But as the days
of Noe were,
so shall also
the coming
of the Son of man be.
For as in the days
that were before the flood
they were eating
and drinking,
marrying
and giving
in marriage,
until the day
that Noe
entered
into the ark,
And knew not until
the flood came,
and took them
all away;
so shall also
the coming
of the Son of man be.
Watch therefore:
for ye
know not
what
hour your Lord
doth come.
But know this,
that if the goodman
of the house
had known in what
watch
the thief
would come,
he would have watched,
and would not have suffered
his house
to be broken up.
Therefore be
ye also ready:
for in such
an hour as ye
think not the Son
of man cometh.
And at midnight
there was
a cry made,
Behold,
the bridegroom cometh;
go ye
out to meet him.
And
while they
went to buy,
the bridegroom came;
and they
that were ready
went in with him
to the marriage:
and the door
was shut.
Watch therefore,
for ye
know
neither the day
nor the hour
wherein the Son
of man cometh.
After a
long time
the lord
of those servants cometh,
and
reckoneth with them.
When the Son
of man
shall come in
his glory,
and all
the holy angels
with him,
then shall
he sit
upon the throne
of his glory:
Jesus
saith unto him,
Thou hast said:
nevertheless
I say unto you,
Hereafter
shall
ye see
the Son
of man
sitting
on the right hand
of power,
and coming in
the clouds
of heaven.
And
he said unto them,
Verily I
say unto you,
That there be
some of them that stand here,
which shall not taste
of death,
till they
have seen the kingdom
of God
come with power.
And
then shall
he send
his angels,
and shall gather
together his elect
from the four winds,
from the uttermost part
of the earth
to the uttermost part
of heaven.
But
of that day
and that hour
knoweth
no man,
no,
not the angels
which are in heaven,
neither the Son,
but the Father.
Watch ye
therefore:
for ye
know not
when
the master
of the house cometh,
at even,
or at midnight,
or at the cockcrowing,
or in the morning:
Lest coming suddenly
he find
you sleeping.
And Jesus said,
I am:
and ye
shall see
the Son of man
sitting
on the right hand
of power,
and coming in
the clouds
of heaven.
For whosoever
shall be ashamed
of me and
of my words,
of him shall
the Son of man
be ashamed,
when
he shall come in
his own glory,
and
in his Father's,
and
of the holy angels.
But I
tell you
of a truth,
there be
some standing here,
which shall not taste
of death,
till they
see the kingdom
of God.
Blessed are those servants,
whom the lord
when
he cometh
shall find watching:
verily
I say unto you,
that he
shall gird himself,
and make them to
sit down to meat,
and will come
forth and serve them.
And
if he
shall come in
the second watch,
or come in
the third watch,
and find them so,
blessed are those servants.
And this know,
that if the goodman
of the house
had known
what
hour the thief
would come,
he would have watched,
and not have suffered
his house
to be broken through.
Be ye therefore ready also:
for the Son
of man
cometh at an hour
when
ye think not.
Even thus
shall
it be
in the day
when the Son
of man
is revealed.
I tell you
that
he will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless
when the Son
of man cometh,
shall
he find faith
on the earth?
He said therefore,
A certain nobleman
went into a far country
to receive
for himself a kingdom,
and to return.
And
he called
his ten servants,
and delivered them
ten pounds,
and
said unto them,
Occupy
till I come.
And it
came
to pass,
that when
he was returned,
having received
the kingdom,
then he
commanded
these servants
to be called unto him,
to whom
he had given
the money,
that he
might know
how much every man
had gained by trading.
And
then shall
they
see the Son
of man
coming in
a cloud
with power
and great glory.
And
when these things
begin
to come to pass,
then look up,
and lift
up your heads;
for your redemption
draweth nigh.
And he
spake
to them
a parable;
Behold the fig tree,
and all
the trees;
When
they
now shoot forth,
ye see
and know
of your own
selves that summer
is now nigh
at hand.
So likewise ye,
when
ye see
these things
come to pass,
know ye that
the kingdom
of God
is nigh
at hand.
Verily
I say unto you,
This generation
shall not pass away,
till all be fulfilled.
Heaven
and earth
shall pass away:
but my words
shall not pass away.
And take
heed
to yourselves,
lest at any
time your hearts
be overcharged
with surfeiting,
and drunkenness,
and cares
of this life,
and
so that day
come upon you unawares.
For as a snare
shall it come
on all
them that
dwell on the face
of the whole earth.
Watch ye
therefore,
and pray always,
that ye
may be accounted worthy
to escape all
these things
that shall come
to pass,
and
to stand
before the Son
of man.
And
if I
go and prepare
a place
for you,
I will come again,
and receive you
unto myself;
that where
I am,
there
ye may be also.
Ye have heard how
I said unto you,
I go away,
and come again
unto you.
If ye
loved me,
ye would rejoice,
because
I said,
I go
unto the Father:
for my Father
is greater than I.
And now
I have told you
before it
come to pass,
that,
when it
is come
to pass,
ye might believe.
Which also said,
Ye men
of Galilee,
why stand
ye gazing up
into heaven?
this same Jesus,
which is taken up
from you
into heaven,
shall so
come in like manner as ye
have seen him
go into heaven.
And
he shall send
Jesus Christ,
which before
was preached
unto you:
So that
ye come behind
in no gift;
waiting
for the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall also confirm you
unto the end,
that ye
may be blameless
in the day
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore judge nothing
before the time,
until the Lord come,
who both
will bring
to light
the hidden things
of darkness,
and will make
manifest the counsels
of the hearts:
and then
shall
every man
have
praise
of God.
For as
often as ye
eat this bread,
and drink
this cup,
ye do shew
the Lord's death till
he come.
But every man
in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits;
afterward
they
that are Christ's
at his coming.
For our conversation
is in heaven;
from whence also
we look for
the Saviour,
the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change
our vile body,
that it
may be fashioned like
unto his glorious body,
according to
the working whereby
he is able
even
to subdue all things
unto himself.
Let your moderation
be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand.
When Christ,
who is our life,
shall appear,
then shall ye
also appear
with him in glory.
And
to wait
for his Son
from heaven,
whom
he raised
from the dead,
even Jesus,
which delivered us
from the wrath
to come.
For what
is our hope,
or joy,
or crown
of rejoicing?
Are not even
ye in the presence
of our Lord Jesus Christ
at his coming?
To the end
he may stablish
your hearts unblameable
in holiness
before God,
even our Father,
at the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ
with all his saints.
For this
we say unto you
by the word
of the Lord,
that we which
are alive
and remain
unto the coming
of the Lord
shall not prevent them which
are asleep.
For the Lord himself
shall descend
from heaven
with a shout,
with the voice
of the archangel,
and
with the trump
of God:
and the dead
in Christ
shall rise first:
Then we which
are alive
and remain
shall be caught up together
with them
in the clouds,
to meet the Lord
in the air:
and so
shall
we ever be
with the Lord.
For yourselves
know perfectly
that the day
of the Lord so
cometh as a thief
in the night.
For when
they shall say,
Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction
cometh upon them,
as travail
upon a woman
with child;
and
they shall not escape.
And the very God
of peace
sanctify
you wholly;
and I
pray God
your whole spirit
and soul
and body
be preserved blameless
unto the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And to you
who are troubled
rest with us,
when the Lord Jesus
shall be revealed from heaven
with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire
taking vengeance
on them that
know not God,
and
that obey not
the gospel
of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished
with everlasting destruction
from the presence
of the Lord,
and
from the glory
of his power;
When
he shall come
to be glorified
in his saints,
and
to be admired
in all
them that
believe
(because our testimony
among you
was believed)
in that day.
Now
we beseech you,
brethren,
by the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together
unto him,
That ye
be not soon shaken
in mind,
or be troubled,
neither by spirit,
nor by word,
nor by letter
as from us,
as that
the day
of Christ is at hand.
Let no man
deceive you
by any means:
for that day
shall not come,
except there come
a falling
away first,
and
that man
of sin
be revealed,
the son
of perdition;
Remember ye not,
that,
when
I was yet
with you,
I told
you these things?
And then
shall
that Wicked
be revealed,
whom the Lord
shall consume with the spirit
of his mouth,
and shall destroy
with the brightness
of his coming:
And the Lord
direct your hearts
into the love
of God,
and
into the patient
waiting
for Christ.
That thou
keep this commandment
without spot,
unrebukable,
until the appearing
of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Which in his times
he shall shew,
who is the blessed
and only Potentate,
the King
of kings,
and Lord
of lords;
I charge thee
therefore before God,
and the Lord Jesus Christ,
who shall judge
the quick
and the dead
at his appearing
and his kingdom;
Henceforth there is laid up
for me a crown
of righteousness,
which the Lord,
the righteous judge,
shall give me
at that day:
and not to me only,
but unto all them
also that love
his appearing.
Looking for
that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing
of the great God
and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
So Christ
was once offered
to bear the sins
of many;
and unto them that
look for him
shall
he appear
the second time
without sin
unto salvation.
Be patient therefore,
brethren,
unto the coming
of the Lord.
Behold,
the husbandman
waiteth for the precious fruit
of the earth,
and hath long patience
for it,
until he
receive the early
and latter rain.
Be ye
also patient;
stablish your hearts:
for the coming
of the Lord draweth nigh.
Grudge not one
against another,
brethren,
lest
ye be condemned:
behold,
the judge
standeth before the door.
That the trial
of your faith,
being much more precious
than of gold
that perisheth,
though it
be tried
with fire,
might be found
unto praise
and honour
and glory
at the appearing
of Jesus Christ:
Wherefore gird
up the loins
of your mind,
be sober,
and hope
to the end
for the grace
that is
to be brought
unto you
at the revelation
of Jesus Christ;
But rejoice,
inasmuch as
ye are partakers
of Christ's sufferings;
that,
when his glory
shall be revealed,
ye may be glad
also with exceeding joy.
And
when the chief Shepherd
shall appear,
ye shall receive
a crown
of glory that
fadeth
not away.
For we
have not followed
cunningly devised
fables,
when we
made
known unto you
the power
and coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
but were eyewitnesses
of his majesty.
Knowing this first,
that there shall come in
the last days scoffers,
walking
after their own lusts,
And saying,
Where is the promise
of his coming?
for since
the fathers fell asleep,
all things
continue
as they
were from the beginning
of the creation.
But the day
of the Lord
will come
as a thief
in the night;
in the which
the heavens
shall pass
away
with a great noise,
and the elements
shall melt
with fervent heat,
the earth
also and the works
that are
therein shall be burned up.
Seeing
then
that all these things
shall be dissolved,
what manner
of persons ought
ye to be
in all holy conversation
and godliness,
Looking for
and hasting
unto the coming
of the day
of God,
wherein the heavens
being on fire
shall be dissolved,
and the elements
shall melt
with fervent heat?
And now,
little children,
abide in him;
that,
when
he shall appear,
we may have confidence,
and not be ashamed
before him
at his coming.
Beloved,
now are
we the sons
of God,
and it
doth not yet appear
what we
shall be:
but we
know that,
when
he shall appear,
we shall be like him;
for we
shall see him
as he is.
And Enoch also,
the seventh
from Adam,
prophesied
of these,
saying,
Behold,
the Lord
cometh with ten thousands of
his saints,
Behold,
he cometh with clouds;
and every eye
shall see him,
and
they also which
pierced him:
and all kindreds
of the earth
shall wail
because of him.
Even so,
Amen.
Behold,
I come quickly:
hold that fast which
thou hast,
that no man
take thy crown.
Behold,
I come
as a thief.
Blessed
is
he that watcheth,
and keepeth his garments,
lest
he walk naked,
and
they see
his shame.
And,
behold,
I come quickly;
and my reward
is with me,
to give
every man
according
as his work
shall be.
He which
testifieth
these things saith,
Surely I come quickly.
Amen.
Even so,
come,
Lord Jesus.
