But Noah
found
grace in the eyes
of the LORD.
These are the generations
of Noah:
Noah was a
just man
and perfect
in his generations,
and Noah
walked
with God.
And
when Abram
was
ninety years old
and nine,
the LORD
appeared
to Abram,
and
said unto him,
I am the Almighty God;
walk before me,
and be
thou perfect.
He hath not beheld iniquity
in Jacob,
neither hath
he seen perverseness
in Israel:
the LORD his God
is with him,
and
the shout
of a king
is among them.
Ye shall observe
to do therefore
as the LORD
your God
hath commanded you:
ye shall not turn aside
to the right hand
or
to the left.
Thou shalt be
perfect with the LORD
thy God.
Be ye
therefore very courageous
to keep and
to do
all that is written
in the book
of the law
of Moses,
that ye
turn not
aside therefrom to the right hand
or
to the left;
Let your heart
therefore be
perfect
with the LORD our God,
to walk
in his statutes,
and to keep
his commandments,
as at this day.
For it
came to pass,
when Solomon
was old,
that his wives
turned away
his heart
after other gods:
and his heart
was not
perfect
with the LORD his God,
as was the heart
of David his father.
And Solomon
did evil
in the sight
of the LORD,
and went not
fully after the LORD,
as did David
his father.
But the high places
were not removed:
nevertheless Asa's heart
was perfect
with the LORD all his days.
And thou,
Solomon my son,
know
thou the God
of thy father,
and serve him
with a perfect heart
and
with a willing mind:
for the LORD
searcheth all hearts,
and understandeth all
the imaginations
of the thoughts:
if thou
seek him,
he will be found
of thee;
but
if thou
forsake him,
he will cast thee off
for ever.
And give
unto Solomon my son
a perfect heart,
to keep
thy commandments,
thy testimonies,
and thy statutes,
and to do all
these things,
and to build
the palace,
for the which
I have made provision.
If they
sin
against thee,
(for there is
no man which
sinneth not,)
and
thou be angry
with them,
and deliver
them over
before their enemies,
and
they carry them away captives
unto a land far
off or near;
There was a man
in the land of Uz,
whose name
was Job;
and
that man
was perfect
and upright,
and one
that feared God,
and eschewed evil.
If I
justify myself,
mine
own
mouth
shall condemn me:
if I say,
I am perfect,
it shall also prove me perverse.
Though I
were perfect,
yet would
I not know
my soul:
I would despise
my life.
It is
God that
girdeth me
with strength,
and maketh
my way perfect.
The law
of his God
is in his heart;
none of his steps
shall slide.
I will behave myself
wisely in a perfect way.
O when
wilt
thou
come unto me?
I will walk within my house
with a perfect heart.
Blessed
are
they that
keep judgment,
and he
that doeth righteousness
at all times.
Blessed are the undefiled
in the way,
who walk
in the law
of the LORD.
Blessed
are
they that
keep
his testimonies,
and
that seek him
with the whole heart.
They also do
no iniquity:
they walk
in his ways.
Then shall
I not be ashamed,
when
I have
respect
unto all
thy commandments.
I have seen
an end
of all perfection:
but thy commandment
is exceeding broad.
For the upright
shall dwell
in the land,
and the perfect
shall remain in it.
For there is not a
just man
upon earth,
that doeth good,
and sinneth not.
Blessed
are
they which
do hunger
and thirst
after righteousness:
for they
shall be filled.
Be ye
therefore perfect,
even as
your Father
which is in heaven
is perfect.
Jesus
said unto him,
If thou
wilt be perfect,
go and sell that
thou hast,
and give
to the poor,
and
thou shalt have
treasure
in heaven:
and come
and follow me.
And
they were both righteous
before God,
walking in all
the commandments
and ordinances
of the Lord blameless.
The disciple
is not above
his master:
but every one
that is
perfect
shall be
as his master.
Jesus saw Nathanael
coming
to him,
and saith of him,
Behold an Israelite indeed,
in whom is no guile!
Howbeit
we speak wisdom
among them that
are perfect:
yet not
the wisdom
of this world,
nor
of the princes
of this world,
that come
to nought:
Having therefore
these promises,
dearly beloved,
let us
cleanse ourselves
from all filthiness
of the flesh
and spirit,
perfecting holiness
in the fear
of God.
For we
are glad,
when we
are weak,
and
ye are strong:
and this also
we wish,
even your perfection.
Finally,
brethren,
farewell.
Be perfect,
be of good comfort,
be of one mind,
live in peace;
and the God
of love
and peace
shall be
with you.
And he
gave some,
apostles;
and some,
prophets;
and some,
evangelists;
and some,
pastors
and teachers;
For the perfecting
of the saints,
for the work
of the ministry,
for the edifying
of the body
of Christ:
Till we all come in
the unity
of the faith,
and
of the knowledge
of the Son
of God,
unto a perfect man,
unto the measure
of the stature
of the fulness
of Christ:
That ye
may approve
things
that are excellent;
that ye
may be sincere
and
without offence
till the day
of Christ.
That ye
may be
blameless
and harmless,
the sons of God,
without rebuke,
in the midst
of a crooked
and perverse nation,
among whom
ye shine
as lights
in the world;
Not as
though I
had already attained,
either were already perfect:
but
I follow after,
if that
I may apprehend that
for which
also I
am apprehended
of Christ Jesus.
Brethren,
I count not myself
to have apprehended:
but this one thing
I do,
forgetting
those things
which are behind,
and reaching forth
unto those things
which are before,
I press toward
the mark
for the prize
of the high calling
of God
in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore,
as many
as be perfect,
be thus minded:
and
if in any thing
ye be otherwise minded,
God shall reveal even this
unto you.
And you,
that were sometime alienated
and enemies
in your mind
by wicked works,
yet now hath
he reconciled
In the body
of his flesh
through death,
to present
you holy
and unblameable
and unreproveable
in his sight:
Whom
we preach,
warning every man,
and teaching
every man
in all wisdom;
that we
may present
every man
perfect
in Christ Jesus:
For in him
dwelleth all
the fulness
of the Godhead
bodily.
And
ye are
complete in him,
which is the head
of all principality
and power:
In whom also
ye are circumcised
with the circumcision
made without hands,
in putting off
the body
of the sins
of the flesh
by the circumcision
of Christ:
And above
all these things
put on charity,
which is the bond
of perfectness.
Epaphras,
who is one
of you,
a servant
of Christ,
saluteth you,
always labouring fervently
for you
in prayers,
that ye
may stand
perfect and complete
in all the will
of God.
Night and day praying exceedingly
that we
might see
your face,
and might perfect
that which
is lacking
in your faith?
To the end
he may stablish
your hearts unblameable
in holiness
before God,
even our Father,
at the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ
with all his saints.
Thou therefore,
my son,
be strong
in the grace
that is
in Christ Jesus.
That the man
of God
may be perfect,
throughly furnished
unto all good works.
Therefore leaving the principles
of the doctrine
of Christ,
let us
go on
unto perfection;
not laying again the foundation
of repentance
from dead works,
and of faith
toward God,
For by one
offering
he hath perfected
for ever
them
that are sanctified.
Now the God
of peace,
that brought again
from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that great shepherd
of the sheep,
through the blood
of the everlasting covenant,
Make you
perfect in every good work
to do his will,
working in you
that which
is wellpleasing
in his sight,
through Jesus Christ;
to whom
be glory
for ever and ever.
Amen.
But let patience
have her perfect work,
that ye
may be
perfect and entire,
wanting nothing.
But
whoso looketh
into the perfect law
of liberty,
and continueth
therein,
he being not
a forgetful hearer,
but a doer
of the work,
this man
shall be blessed
in his deed.
For in many things
we offend all.
If any man
offend not
in word,
the same
is a perfect man,
and able
also to bridle
the whole body.
But the God
of all grace,
who hath called us
unto his eternal glory
by Christ Jesus,
after that
ye have suffered
a while,
make you perfect,
stablish,
strengthen,
settle you.
But
whoso keepeth his word,
in him verily is
the love
of God perfected:
hereby know
we that
we are in him.
Whosoever abideth
in him sinneth not:
whosoever
sinneth
hath not seen him,
neither known him.
Little children,
let no man
deceive you:
he that
doeth
righteousness is righteous,
even as
he is righteous.
He that
committeth
sin
is of the devil;
for the devil
sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose
the Son
of God
was manifested,
that he
might destroy
the works
of the devil.
Whosoever
is born of God
doth not commit sin;
for his seed
remaineth in him:
and
he cannot sin,
because
he is born
of God.
In this the children
of God
are manifest,
and the children
of the devil:
whosoever
doeth not
righteousness
is not of God,
neither he
that loveth not
his brother.
No man
hath seen God
at any time.
If we
love one
another,
God
dwelleth in us,
and his love
is perfected in us.
We know
that whosoever
is born
of God
sinneth not;
but he
that is begotten
of God
keepeth himself,
and
that wicked one
toucheth him not.
