And Abram
said
unto Lot,
Let there be
no strife,
I pray thee,
between me and thee,
and
between my herdmen
and thy herdmen;
for we
be brethren.
Is not the whole land
before thee?
separate thyself,
I pray thee,
from me:
if thou
wilt take
the left hand,
then
I will go
to the right;
or if
thou depart
to the right hand,
then
I will go
to the left.
That thou
wilt do us
no hurt,
as we
have not touched thee,
and as we
have done
unto thee nothing
but good,
and have sent thee
away in peace:
thou art
now the blessed
of the LORD.
So he
sent
his brethren away,
and
they departed:
and
he said unto them,
See that
ye fall not out
by the way.
And
I will give peace
in the land,
and
ye shall lie down,
and none
shall make
you afraid:
and
I will rid evil beasts
out of the land,
neither shall
the sword
go
through your land.
For Mordecai
the Jew
was next
unto king Ahasuerus,
and great
among the Jews,
and accepted
of the multitude
of his brethren,
seeking the wealth
of his people,
and speaking peace
to all his seed.
For thou
shalt be
in league
with the stones
of the field:
and the beasts
of the field
shall be
at peace
with thee.
And
thou shalt know
that thy tabernacle
shall be
in peace;
and
thou shalt visit
thy habitation,
and shalt not sin.
Acquaint now thyself
with him,
and be at peace:
thereby good
shall come
unto thee.
For then
shalt
thou have
thy delight
in the Almighty,
and shalt lift
up thy face unto God.
When
he giveth quietness,
who
then can make trouble?
and
when
he hideth his face,
who
then can behold him?
whether it
be done
against a nation,
or against a man only:
Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel
of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way
of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat
of the scornful.
But his delight
is in the law
of the LORD;
and in his law
doth
he meditate
day and night.
I will both lay
me down
in peace,
and sleep:
for thou,
LORD,
only makest me
dwell
in safety.
As for me,
I will behold
thy face
in righteousness:
I shall be satisfied,
when I awake,
with thy likeness.
What man
is he
that feareth the LORD?
him shall
he teach
in the way
that
he shall choose.
His soul
shall dwell
at ease;
and his seed
shall inherit
the earth.
The LORD
will give strength
unto his people;
the LORD
will bless
his people
with peace.
Depart from evil,
and do good;
seek peace,
and pursue it.
Delight thyself
also in the LORD:
and he
shall give
thee the desires
of thine heart.
But the meek
shall inherit
the earth;
and shall delight themselves
in the abundance
of peace.
Mark the perfect man,
and behold
the upright:
for the end
of that man
is peace.
Whom have
I in heaven
but thee?
and there is none
upon earth
that
I desire beside thee.
My flesh
and my heart faileth:
but God
is the strength
of my heart,
and my portion
for ever.
I will hear
what
God the LORD
will speak:
for he
will speak peace
unto his people,
and
to his saints:
but let them not
turn again
to folly.
Thou hast dealt well
with thy servant,
O LORD,
according unto thy word.
My soul
hath long
dwelt with him that
hateth peace.
I am for peace:
but when I speak,
they are
for war.
They
that trust
in the LORD
shall be
as mount Zion,
which cannot be removed,
but abideth
for ever.
As for such as turn aside
unto their crooked ways,
the LORD
shall lead
them forth
with the workers
of iniquity:
but peace
shall be
upon Israel.
Behold,
how good
and how pleasant it
is for brethren
to dwell together
in unity!
Her ways
are ways
of pleasantness,
and all her paths
are peace.
When
thou liest down,
thou shalt not be afraid:
yea,
thou shalt lie down,
and thy
sleep
shall be sweet.
Deceit is in the heart
of them that
imagine evil:
but to the counsellors
of peace is joy.
The backslider
in heart
shall be filled
with his own ways:
and a good man
shall be satisfied
from himself.
Better is a dinner
of herbs
where love is,
than a stalled ox
and hatred
therewith.
When a man's ways
please the LORD,
he maketh even
his enemies to be
at peace
with him.
Better is a dry morsel,
and quietness
therewith,
than an house
full of sacrifices
with strife.
The beginning
of strife
is as when
one letteth out water:
therefore leave off
contention,
before it
be meddled with.
It is an honour
for a man
to cease
from strife:
but every fool
will be meddling.
Better is an handful
with quietness,
than both the hands full
with travail
and vexation
of spirit.
And
he shall judge
among the nations,
and shall rebuke
many people:
and
they shall beat
their swords
into plowshares,
and their spears
into pruninghooks:
nation
shall not lift
up sword
against nation,
neither shall
they learn
war any more.
For unto us a child
is born,
unto us a son
is given:
and the government
shall be
upon his shoulder:
and his name
shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince
of Peace.
The wolf
also shall dwell
with the lamb,
and the leopard
shall lie down
with the kid;
and the calf
and the young lion
and the fatling
together;
and a little child
shall lead them.
And the cow
and the bear
shall feed;
their young
ones shall lie down together:
and the lion
shall eat
straw like
the ox.
And the sucking child
shall play
on the hole
of the asp,
and the weaned child
shall put
his hand
on the cockatrice' den.
They shall not hurt nor
destroy
in all my holy mountain:
for the earth
shall be full of
the knowledge
of the LORD,
as the waters
cover the sea.
The envy
also of Ephraim
shall depart,
and the adversaries
of Judah
shall be cut off:
Ephraim shall not envy Judah,
and Judah
shall not vex
Ephraim.
And
in that day thou
shalt say,
O LORD,
I will praise thee:
though thou
wast angry
with me,
thine anger
is turned away,
and
thou comfortedst me.
Behold,
God is my salvation;
I will trust,
and not be afraid:
for the LORD JEHOVAH
is my strength
and my song;
he also is become
my salvation.
And
he will destroy
in this
mountain the face
of the covering
cast
over all people,
and the vail
that is spread
over all nations.
He will swallow up death
in victory;
and the Lord GOD
will wipe away
tears from
off all faces;
and
the rebuke
of his people
shall
he take away from
off all
the earth:
for the LORD
hath spoken it.
Thou wilt keep him
in perfect peace,
whose mind
is stayed
on thee:
because
he trusteth in thee.
LORD,
thou wilt ordain peace
for us:
for thou
also hast wrought all
our works in us.
Or let him
take
hold
of my strength,
that he
may make peace
with me;
and
he shall make peace
with me.
To whom
he said,
This is the rest
wherewith
ye may cause
the weary
to rest;
and this
is the refreshing:
yet
they would not hear.
Moreover the light
of the moon
shall be
as the light
of the sun,
and
the light
of the sun
shall be sevenfold,
as the light
of seven days,
in the day
that the LORD
bindeth up the breach
of his people,
and healeth
the stroke
of their wound.
And a man
shall be
as an hiding
place
from the wind,
and a covert
from the tempest;
as rivers
of water
in a dry place,
as the shadow
of a great rock
in a weary land.
And
the work
of righteousness
shall be peace;
and the effect
of righteousness quietness
and assurance
for ever.
And my people
shall dwell
in a peaceable habitation,
and
in sure dwellings,
and
in quiet resting places;
I form the light,
and create darkness:
I make peace,
and create evil:
I the LORD
do all
these things.
O that thou
hadst
hearkened
to my commandments!
then had
thy peace
been as a river,
and thy righteousness
as the waves
of the sea:
But
he was wounded
for our transgressions,
he was bruised
for our iniquities:
the chastisement
of our peace
was upon him;
and
with his stripes
we are healed.
Sing,
O barren,
thou
that didst not bear;
break forth
into singing,
and cry aloud,
thou
that didst not travail
with child:
for more
are the children
of the desolate
than the children
of the married wife,
saith the LORD.
For the mountains
shall depart,
and the hills
be removed;
but my kindness
shall not depart
from thee,
neither shall
the covenant
of my peace
be removed,
saith the LORD that
hath mercy
on thee.
And all
thy children
shall be taught
of the LORD;
and great
shall be the peace
of thy children.
Wherefore do
ye spend money
for that
which is not
bread?
and your labour
for that which
satisfieth not?
hearken diligently unto me,
and eat
ye that which
is good,
and let
your soul
delight itself
in fatness.
For ye
shall go out
with joy,
and be led forth
with peace:
the mountains
and the hills
shall break forth
before you
into singing,
and all
the trees
of the field
shall clap
their hands.
The righteous perisheth,
and no man
layeth it
to heart:
and merciful men
are taken away,
none considering
that the righteous
is taken away
from the evil
to come.
He shall enter
into peace:
they shall rest
in their beds,
each one
walking
in his uprightness.
I create
the fruit
of the lips;
Peace,
peace to him
that is far off,
and to him
that is near,
saith the LORD;
and
I will heal him.
Thy sun
shall no more go down;
neither shall
thy moon
withdraw itself:
for the LORD
shall be
thine everlasting light,
and the days
of thy
mourning
shall be ended.
And seek
the peace
of the city
whither
I have caused you
to be carried away captives,
and pray
unto the LORD
for it:
for in the peace
thereof shall
ye have peace.
Behold,
I will bring it health
and cure,
and
I will cure them,
and will reveal
unto them the abundance
of peace and truth.
And I
will make
with them a covenant
of peace,
and will cause
the evil beasts
to cease
out of the land:
and
they shall dwell safely
in the wilderness,
and sleep
in the woods.
And in that day
will
I make a covenant
for them
with the beasts
of the field
and with the fowls
of heaven,
and
with the creeping things
of the ground:
and I
will break
the bow
and the sword
and the battle
out of the earth,
and will make them
to lie down safely.
The glory
of this latter house
shall be greater than
of the former,
saith the LORD
of hosts:
and in this place
will
I give peace,
saith the LORD
of hosts.
Thus saith
the LORD
of hosts;
The fast
of the fourth month,
and the fast
of the fifth,
and the fast
of the seventh,
and the fast
of the tenth,
shall be
to the house
of Judah
joy and gladness,
and cheerful feasts;
therefore love
the truth and peace.
My covenant
was with him
of life
and peace;
and I
gave them
to him
for the fear
wherewith
he feared me,
and was afraid
before my name.
Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called
the children
of God.
And the brother
shall deliver up the brother
to death,
and the father
the child:
and the children
shall rise up
against their parents,
and cause them
to be put
to death.
And
ye shall be hated
of all men
for my name's sake:
but he
that
endureth to the end
shall be saved.
Think not
that I
am come
to send peace
on earth:
I came not
to send peace,
but a sword.
For I
am come
to set a man
at variance
against his father,
and the daughter
against her mother,
and the daughter
in law
against her mother
in law.
And a man's foes
shall be
they
of his own household.
Salt is good:
but
if the salt
have lost
his saltness,
wherewith will
ye season it?
Have salt
in yourselves,
and have peace one
with another.
To give
light to them
that sit
in darkness
and in the shadow
of death,
to guide our feet
into the way
of peace.
Glory to God
in the highest,
and
on earth peace,
good will
toward men.
Lord,
now lettest
thou thy servant
depart in peace,
according to
thy word:
He that believeth on me,
as the scripture
hath said,
out of his belly
shall flow rivers
of living water.
Peace
I leave with you,
my peace
I give unto you:
not as the world giveth,
give I unto you.
Let not
your heart
be troubled,
neither let it
be afraid.
These things
I have spoken
unto you,
that in me ye
might have peace.
In the world
ye shall have
tribulation:
but be
of good cheer;
I have overcome
the world.
Then the same day
at evening,
being the first day
of the week,
when the doors
were shut
where the disciples
were assembled
for fear
of the Jews,
came Jesus
and stood
in the midst,
and
saith unto them,
Peace be
unto you.
And the next day
he shewed himself
unto them
as they strove,
and would have set them
at one again,
saying,
Sirs,
ye are brethren;
why do
ye wrong one
to another?
But he
that
did his neighbour
wrong
thrust him away,
saying,
Who made thee
a ruler
and a judge
over us?
Wilt
thou kill me,
as thou
diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
Then fled
Moses at this saying,
and was a stranger
in the land
of Madian,
where he
begat two sons.
The word which God
sent
unto the children
of Israel,
preaching peace
by Jesus Christ:
(he is Lord of all:)
Whom Jason
hath received:
and these
all do contrary
to the decrees
of Caesar,
saying
that there is
another king,
one Jesus.
And they
troubled
the people
and the rulers
of the city,
when
they heard
these things.
And
when
they had taken security
of Jason,
and of the other,
they let them go.
But glory,
honour,
and peace,
to every man
that worketh good,
to the Jew first,
and
also to the Gentile:
Therefore being justified
by faith,
we have peace
with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ:
For to be carnally minded
is death;
but
to be spiritually minded
is life
and peace.
And how shall
they preach,
except they
be sent?
as it is written,
How beautiful
are
the feet
of them that
preach the gospel
of peace,
and bring glad tidings
of good things!
If it
be possible,
as much as
lieth in you,
live peaceably
with all men.
For the kingdom
of God
is not meat
and drink;
but righteousness,
and peace,
and joy
in the Holy Ghost.
Let us
therefore follow
after the things
which make
for peace,
and things
wherewith one
may edify another.
Now the God
of hope fill you
with all joy
and peace
in believing,
that ye
may abound
in hope,
through the power
of the Holy Ghost.
Now the God
of peace
be with you all.
Amen.
Grace be
unto you,
and peace,
from God our Father,
and
from the Lord Jesus Christ.
For God
is not the author
of confusion,
but of peace,
as in all churches
of the saints.
Grace be
to you and peace
from God our Father,
and
from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Finally,
brethren,
farewell.
Be perfect,
be of good comfort,
be of one mind,
live in peace;
and the God
of love
and peace
shall be
with you.
Grace be
to you and peace
from God the Father,
and
from our Lord Jesus Christ,
But
the fruit
of the Spirit
is love,
joy,
peace,
longsuffering,
gentleness,
goodness,
faith,
For he
is our peace,
who hath made
both one,
and hath broken down
the middle wall
of partition
between us;
Having abolished
in his flesh the enmity,
even
the law
of commandments
contained
in ordinances;
for to make
in himself
of twain one new man,
so making peace;
And
that he
might reconcile both
unto God
in one body
by the cross,
having slain
the enmity thereby:
And came
and preached
peace to you
which were afar off,
and to them
that were nigh.
Endeavouring
to keep the unity
of the Spirit
in the bond
of peace.
And the peace
of God,
which passeth
all understanding,
shall keep your hearts
and minds
through Christ Jesus.
Those things,
which ye
have both learned,
and received,
and heard,
and seen in me,
do:
and
the God
of peace
shall be
with you.
And,
having made peace
through the blood
of his cross,
by him
to reconcile all things
unto himself;
by him,
I say,
whether they
be things
in earth,
or things
in heaven.
And let
the peace of God
rule
in your hearts,
to the which
also ye
are called in
one body;
and be
ye thankful.
Paul,
and Silvanus,
and Timotheus,
unto the church
of the Thessalonians
which is in God
the Father
and
in the Lord Jesus Christ:
Grace
be
unto you,
and peace,
from God our Father,
and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And
to esteem them very
highly in love
for their work's sake.
And be
at peace
among yourselves.
Now the Lord
of peace
himself
give
you peace
always by all means.
The Lord
be with you all.
Unto Timothy,
my own son
in the faith:
Grace,
mercy,
and peace,
from God our Father
and Jesus Christ
our Lord.
For kings,
and for all
that are in authority;
that we
may lead
a quiet
and peaceable life
in all godliness
and honesty.
To Timothy,
my dearly beloved son:
Grace,
mercy,
and peace,
from God the Father
and Christ Jesus
our Lord.
Flee also youthful lusts:
but follow
righteousness,
faith,
charity,
peace,
with them that
call on the Lord
out of a pure heart.
To Titus,
mine own son
after the common faith:
Grace,
mercy,
and peace,
from God
the Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ
our Saviour.
Grace to you,
and peace,
from God
our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Follow peace
with all men,
and holiness,
without which no man
shall see
the Lord:
But the wisdom
that is
from above
is first pure,
then peaceable,
gentle,
and easy
to be intreated,
full of mercy
and good fruits,
without partiality,
and
without hypocrisy.
And
the fruit
of righteousness
is sown
in peace
of them that make peace.
For he
that will love life,
and see
good days,
let him
refrain
his tongue
from evil,
and his lips that
they speak
no guile:
Let him eschew evil,
and do good;
let him
seek peace,
and ensue it.
John
to the seven churches
which are in Asia:
Grace
be
unto you,
and peace,
from him
which is,
and which was,
and which
is to come;
and from the seven Spirits
which are before his throne;
