And
I will put enmity
between thee
and the woman,
and between thy
seed
and her seed;
it shall bruise
thy head,
and
thou shalt bruise
his heel.
The Angel which
redeemed me
from all evil,
bless the lads;
and let
my name
be named on them,
and the name
of my fathers Abraham
and Isaac;
and let them
grow
into a multitude
in the midst
of the earth.
The sceptre
shall not depart
from Judah,
nor a lawgiver from
between his feet,
until Shiloh come;
and
unto him shall
the gathering
of the people be.
Behold,
I send
an Angel
before thee,
to keep thee
in the way,
and
to bring thee
into the place
which I
have prepared.
Beware of him,
and obey
his voice,
provoke him not;
for he
will not pardon
your transgressions:
for my name
is in him.
I shall see him,
but not now:
I shall behold him,
but not nigh:
there shall come a Star
out of Jacob,
and a Sceptre
shall rise out of Israel,
and shall smite
the corners
of Moab,
and destroy all
the children
of Sheth.
The LORD thy God
will raise up
unto thee a Prophet
from the midst
of thee,
of thy brethren,
like unto me;
unto him
ye shall hearken;
I will raise them
up a Prophet from
among their brethren,
like unto thee,
and will put
my words
in his mouth;
and
he shall speak
unto them all
that
I shall command him.
And he said,
Nay;
but as captain
of the host
of the LORD
am I now come.
And Joshua
fell on his face
to the earth,
and did worship,
and
said unto him,
What
saith
my Lord
unto his servant?
Neither is there
any daysman
betwixt us,
that might lay
his hand
upon us both.
The kings
of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel
together,
against the LORD,
and against his anointed,
saying,
For thou
wilt not leave
my soul in hell;
neither wilt
thou suffer
thine Holy One
to see corruption.
Lift
up your heads,
O ye gates;
and be
ye lift up,
ye everlasting doors;
and the King
of glory
shall come in.
Who is this King
of glory?
The LORD strong
and mighty,
the LORD mighty
in battle.
Lift
up your heads,
O ye gates;
even lift them up,
ye everlasting doors;
and the King
of glory
shall come in.
Who is this King
of glory?
The LORD
of hosts,
he is the King
of glory.
Selah.
Gird thy sword
upon thy thigh,
O most mighty,
with thy
glory
and thy majesty.
Give ear,
O Shepherd
of Israel,
thou
that
leadest
Joseph like
a flock;
thou
that dwellest between the cherubims,
shine forth.
Also I
will make him
my firstborn,
higher
than the kings
of the earth.
I wisdom
dwell
with prudence,
and find out knowledge
of witty inventions.
I am the rose
of Sharon,
and the lily
of the valleys.
My beloved
is white
and ruddy,
the chiefest
among ten thousand.
Therefore
the Lord himself
shall give
you a sign;
Behold,
a virgin
shall conceive,
and bear a son,
and shall call
his name Immanuel.
And
he shall be
for a sanctuary;
but for a stone
of stumbling and
for a rock
of offence
to both
the houses
of Israel,
for a gin
and for a snare
to the inhabitants
of Jerusalem.
For unto us a child
is born,
unto us a son
is given:
and the government
shall be
upon his shoulder:
and his name
shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince
of Peace.
And in that day
there shall be
a root of Jesse,
which shall stand for
an ensign
of the people;
to it shall
the Gentiles seek:
and his rest
shall be glorious.
Therefore thus
saith the Lord GOD, Behold,
I lay in Zion
for a foundation a stone,
a tried stone,
a precious corner stone,
a sure foundation:
he that believeth
shall not make haste.
Ye shall have
a song,
as in the night
when a holy solemnity
is kept;
and gladness
of heart,
as when one
goeth with a pipe
to come
into the mountain
of the LORD,
to the mighty One
of Israel.
For the LORD
is our judge,
the LORD
is our lawgiver,
the LORD
is our king;
he will save us.
The voice
of him that
crieth in the wilderness,
Prepare
ye the way
of the LORD,
make straight
in the desert
a highway
for our God.
Fear not,
thou worm Jacob,
and
ye men of Israel;
I will help thee,
saith the LORD,
and thy redeemer,
the Holy One
of Israel.
Behold my servant,
whom
I uphold;
mine elect,
in whom
my soul delighteth;
I have put
my spirit
upon him:
he shall bring forth judgment
to the Gentiles.
I the LORD
have called thee
in righteousness,
and will hold
thine hand,
and will keep thee,
and give thee
for a covenant
of the people,
for a light
of the Gentiles;
Thus saith the LORD,
your redeemer,
the Holy One
of Israel;
For your sake
I have sent
to Babylon,
and have brought down all
their nobles,
and the Chaldeans,
whose cry
is in the ships.
I am the LORD,
your Holy One,
the creator
of Israel,
your King.
Thus
saith
the LORD
the King
of Israel,
and his redeemer
the LORD
of hosts;
I am the first,
and
I am the last;
and beside me there is
no God.
Verily
thou art a God
that hidest thyself,
O God of Israel,
the Saviour.
Thus saith the LORD,
the Redeemer
of Israel,
and his Holy One,
to him
whom man despiseth,
to him whom
the nation abhorreth,
to a servant
of rulers,
Kings
shall see
and arise,
princes also shall worship,
because
of the LORD
that is faithful,
and the Holy One
of Israel,
and
he shall choose thee.
Awake,
awake,
put on strength,
O arm
of the LORD;
awake,
as in the ancient days,
in the generations
of old.
Art
thou
not it that
hath cut Rahab,
and wounded
the dragon?
Art
thou not it
which hath dried
the sea,
the waters
of the great deep;
that hath made
the depths
of the sea a way
for the ransomed
to pass over?
He is despised
and rejected
of men;
a man
of sorrows,
and acquainted
with grief:
and we
hid as it
were our faces
from him;
he was despised,
and
we esteemed him not.
He shall see of the travail
of his soul,
and shall be satisfied:
by his knowledge
shall my righteous servant
justify many;
for he
shall bear
their iniquities.
For thy Maker
is
thine husband;
the LORD of hosts
is his name;
and thy Redeemer
the Holy One
of Israel;
The God
of the whole earth
shall he be called.
Behold,
I have given him
for a witness
to the people,
a leader
and commander
to the people.
And the Redeemer
shall come
to Zion,
and unto them that turn
from transgression
in Jacob,
saith the LORD.
Thy sun
shall no more go down;
neither shall
thy moon
withdraw itself:
for the LORD
shall be
thine everlasting light,
and the days
of thy
mourning
shall be ended.
Who is this
that cometh from Edom,
with dyed garments
from Bozrah?
this that is glorious
in his apparel,
travelling
in the greatness
of his strength?
I that
speak
in righteousness,
mighty to save.
In all
their affliction
he was afflicted,
and the angel
of his presence
saved them:
in his love
and in his pity
he redeemed them;
and he
bare them,
and carried them all
the days
of old.
Behold,
the days come,
saith the LORD,
that I
will raise
unto David
a righteous Branch,
and a King
shall reign and
prosper,
and shall execute judgment
and justice
in the earth.
In his days Judah
shall be saved,
and Israel
shall dwell safely:
and this
is
his name
whereby
he shall be called,
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
But
they shall serve
the LORD their God,
and David
their king,
whom
I will raise up unto them.
And
I will raise up
for them a plant
of renown,
and they
shall be
no more consumed
with hunger
in the land,
neither bear
the shame
of the heathen any more.
Seventy weeks
are determined
upon thy people
and upon thy holy city,
to finish
the transgression,
and
to make an end
of sins,
and
to make reconciliation
for iniquity,
and to bring in
everlasting righteousness,
and
to seal
up the vision
and prophecy,
and to anoint
the most Holy.
Know therefore
and understand,
that from the going forth
of the commandment
to restore
and
to build
Jerusalem
unto the Messiah
the Prince
shall be
seven weeks,
and threescore
and two weeks:
the street
shall be built again,
and the wall,
even in troublous times.
But thou,
Bethlehem Ephratah,
though thou
be little
among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of thee shall
he come forth
unto me that is
to be ruler
in Israel;
whose goings
forth have been from
of old,
from everlasting.
Shall
they not rise
up suddenly
that shall bite thee,
and awake that
shall vex thee,
and
thou shalt be
for booties
unto them?
Hear now,
O Joshua
the high priest,
thou,
and thy fellows that
sit
before thee:
for they
are men
wondered at:
for,
behold,
I will bring forth
my servant the BRANCH.
In that day
there shall be
a fountain
opened
to the house
of David
and to the inhabitants
of Jerusalem
for sin and
for uncleanness.
Awake,
O sword,
against my shepherd,
and against the man
that is
my fellow,
saith the LORD
of hosts:
smite the shepherd,
and the sheep
shall be scattered:
and
I will turn mine hand
upon the little ones.
And the LORD
shall be king
over all the earth:
in that day
shall there be
one LORD,
and his name one.
Behold,
I will send
my messenger,
and
he shall prepare
the way
before me:
and the LORD,
whom
ye seek,
shall suddenly come
to his temple,
even the messenger
of the covenant,
whom
ye delight in:
behold,
he shall come,
saith the LORD
of hosts.
But unto you
that fear my name
shall the Sun
of righteousness
arise
with healing
in his wings;
and
ye shall go forth,
and grow up
as calves
of the stall.
The book
of the generation
of Jesus Christ,
the son of David,
the son
of Abraham.
And Jacob
begat Joseph
the husband
of Mary,
of whom was born Jesus,
who is called
Christ.
And
she shall bring forth a son,
and
thou shalt call
his name JESUS:
for he shall save
his people
from their sins.
Behold,
a virgin
shall be
with child,
and shall bring forth a son,
and
they shall call
his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is,
God with us.
Saying,
Where
is
he that is born King
of the Jews?
for we
have seen his star
in the east,
and are come
to worship him.
And
thou Bethlehem,
in the land
of Juda,
art not
the least
among the princes
of Juda:
for out of thee shall come
a Governor,
that shall rule
my people Israel.
And
he came
and dwelt in a
city called Nazareth:
that it
might be fulfilled
which was spoken
by the prophets,
He shall be called
a Nazarene.
But
when Jesus
heard that,
he said unto them,
They that
be whole
need not
a physician,
but they
that are sick.
And Jesus
said unto them,
Can the children
of the bridechamber mourn,
as long
as the bridegroom
is with them?
but the days
will come,
when the bridegroom
shall be taken from them,
and
then shall
they fast.
And
when Jesus
departed thence,
two blind men
followed him,
crying,
and saying,
Thou son
of David,
have mercy on us.
The Son of man
came
eating and drinking,
and they say,
Behold a man gluttonous,
and a winebibber,
a friend
of publicans
and sinners.
But wisdom
is justified
of her children.
Is not
this the carpenter's son?
is not
his mother called Mary?
and his brethren,
James,
and Joses,
and Simon,
and Judas?
Then charged
he his disciples
that they
should tell no man
that he
was Jesus
the Christ.
And,
behold,
one came
and
said unto him,
Good Master,
what good thing
shall
I do,
that I
may have
eternal life?
Tell
ye the daughter
of Sion, Behold,
thy King
cometh unto thee,
meek,
and sitting
upon an ass,
and a colt
the foal
of an ass.
And the multitude said,
This is Jesus
the prophet
of Nazareth
of Galilee.
Jesus
saith unto them,
Did
ye never read
in the scriptures,
The stone
which the builders rejected,
the same
is become
the head
of the corner:
this is
the Lord's doing,
and it
is marvellous
in our eyes?
But be not
ye called Rabbi:
for one
is your Master,
even Christ;
and all
ye are brethren.
When
he was set down
on the judgment seat,
his wife
sent unto him,
saying,
Have
thou nothing to do
with that
just man:
for I
have suffered many things
this day
in a dream
because
of him.
When Pilate
saw that
he could prevail nothing,
but
that rather a tumult
was made,
he took water,
and washed
his hands
before the multitude,
saying,
I am innocent
of the blood
of this
just person:
see ye to it.
And set up
over his head
his accusation written,
THIS IS JESUS THE
KING OF THE JEWS.
Saying,
Let us alone;
what have
we to do
with thee,
thou Jesus
of Nazareth?
art
thou come
to destroy us?
I know thee
who thou art,
the Holy One
of God.
Therefore the Son
of man
is Lord
also of the sabbath.
Is not
this the carpenter,
the son of Mary,
the brother
of James,
and Joses,
and of Juda,
and Simon?
and are not
his sisters here
with us?
And
they
were offended at him.
And Jesus
saith unto them,
All
ye shall be offended
because of me this night:
for it
is written,
I will smite
the shepherd,
and the sheep
shall be scattered.
But
he held
his peace,
and answered
nothing.
Again
the high priest
asked him,
and
said unto him,
Art
thou the Christ,
the Son
of the Blessed?
He shall be great,
and shall be called
the Son
of the Highest:
and the Lord God
shall give
unto him the throne
of his father David:
And the angel
answered
and said
unto her,
The Holy Ghost
shall come upon thee,
and
the power
of the Highest
shall overshadow thee:
therefore also
that holy thing
which shall be born
of thee
shall be called
the Son
of God.
And hath raised
up an horn
of salvation
for us
in the house
of his servant David;
Through the tender mercy
of our God;
whereby the dayspring from
on high
hath visited us,
For unto you
is born
this day
in the city
of David a Saviour,
which is Christ
the Lord.
And,
behold,
there was a man
in Jerusalem,
whose name
was Simeon;
and the same man
was just
and devout,
waiting
for the consolation
of Israel:
and the Holy Ghost
was upon him.
And it
was revealed
unto him
by the Holy Ghost,
that he
should not see death,
before he
had seen
the Lord's Christ.
And
he came
by the Spirit
into the temple:
and
when the parents
brought in
the child Jesus,
to do
for him
after the custom
of the law,
For mine
eyes
have seen
thy salvation,
A light
to lighten the Gentiles,
and the glory
of thy people Israel.
And
when
they had fulfilled
the days,
as they returned,
the child Jesus
tarried behind
in Jerusalem;
and Joseph
and his mother
knew not of it.
He said unto them,
But whom say
ye that I am?
Peter answering said,
The Christ
of God.
And
they began
to accuse him,
saying,
We found
this fellow
perverting
the nation,
and forbidding
to give tribute
to Caesar,
saying
that he himself
is Christ a King.
And the people
stood beholding.
And the rulers
also with them derided him,
saying,
He saved others;
let him
save himself,
if he
be Christ,
the chosen
of God.
And
he said unto them,
What things?
And
they
said unto him,
Concerning Jesus
of Nazareth,
which was
a prophet mighty
in deed
and word
before God
and all
the people:
In the beginning
was the Word,
and the Word
was with God,
and the Word
was God.
That was the true Light,
which lighteth
every man
that cometh into the world.
And the Word
was made flesh,
and
dwelt among us,
(and
we beheld
his glory,
the glory as
of the only begotten
of the Father,)
full of grace
and truth.
For the law
was given
by Moses,
but grace
and truth
came
by Jesus Christ.
No man
hath seen God
at any time,
the only begotten Son,
which is in the bosom
of the Father,
he hath declared him.
The next day John
seeth
Jesus
coming unto him,
and saith,
Behold the Lamb
of God,
which taketh away
the sin
of the world.
He first findeth
his own brother Simon,
and
saith unto him,
We have found
the Messias,
which is,
being interpreted,
the Christ.
Nathanael
answered
and
saith unto him,
Rabbi,
thou art
the Son
of God;
thou art
the King
of Israel.
The same
came
to Jesus
by night,
and
said unto him,
Rabbi,
we know that
thou
art a teacher
come
from God:
for no man
can do these miracles
that thou doest,
except God
be with him.
Jesus
answered
and said
unto her,
If thou
knewest
the gift of God,
and
who it
is that
saith to thee,
Give me to drink;
thou
wouldest have asked of him,
and he
would have given
thee living water.
And they said,
Is not
this Jesus,
the son
of Joseph,
whose father
and mother
we know?
how is it
then that
he saith,
I came down
from heaven?
I am
the living bread which
came down
from heaven:
if any man
eat of this bread,
he shall live
for ever:
and the bread that
I will give
is my flesh,
which I
will give
for the life
of the world.
Then spake Jesus
again unto them,
saying,
I am the light
of the world:
he that
followeth me
shall not walk
in darkness,
but shall have
the light
of life.
Then said Jesus
unto them again,
Verily,
verily,
I say unto you,
I am the door
of the sheep.
I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd
giveth his life
for the sheep.
Jesus
saith unto him,
I am the way,
the truth,
and the life:
no man
cometh unto the Father,
but by me.
I am the true vine,
and my Father
is the husbandman.
And this
is life eternal,
that they
might know thee
the only true God,
and Jesus Christ,
whom
thou hast sent.
And Pilate
wrote a title,
and put it
on the cross.
And the writing
was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE
KING OF THE JEWS.
Jesus saith unto her,
Mary.
She turned herself,
and
saith unto him,
Rabboni;
which is to say,
Master.
Then Peter
said unto them,
Repent,
and be baptized every one
of you
in the name
of Jesus Christ
for the remission
of sins,
and
ye shall receive
the gift
of the Holy Ghost.
But
ye denied
the Holy One
and the Just,
and desired
a murderer
to be granted
unto you;
And killed
the Prince
of life,
whom God
hath raised
from the dead;
whereof
we are witnesses.
Be it
known
unto you all,
and
to all the people
of Israel,
that by the name
of Jesus Christ
of Nazareth,
whom
ye crucified,
whom God
raised
from the dead,
even by him doth this man stand
here
before you whole.
By stretching
forth thine hand
to heal;
and that signs
and wonders may be done
by the name
of thy holy child Jesus.
Him hath God exalted
with his right hand to be
a Prince
and a Saviour,
for to give repentance
to Israel,
and forgiveness
of sins.
Which of the prophets
have not
your fathers persecuted?
and
they have slain them
which shewed before
of the coming
of the Just One;
of whom
ye have been now
the betrayers
and murderers:
And
they stoned
Stephen,
calling upon God,
and saying,
Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit.
And straightway
he preached Christ
in the synagogues,
that he
is the Son
of God.
And Peter
said unto him,
Aeneas,
Jesus Christ
maketh thee whole:
arise,
and make
thy bed.
And
he arose immediately.
The word which God
sent
unto the children
of Israel,
preaching peace
by Jesus Christ:
(he is Lord of all:)
And
he commanded us
to preach
unto the people,
and to testify
that it
is he
which was ordained
of God to be
the Judge
of quick and dead.
Forasmuch
then as God
gave them
the like gift
as he
did unto us,
who believed
on the Lord Jesus Christ;
what was I,
that I
could withstand God?
And this
did she many days.
But Paul,
being grieved,
turned
and said
to the spirit,
I command thee
in the name
of Jesus Christ
to come out of her.
And he
came
out the same hour.
And they said,
Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and
thou shalt be saved,
and thy house.
Then said Paul,
John
verily baptized
with the baptism
of repentance,
saying
unto the people,
that they
should believe
on him which
should come
after him,
that is,
on Christ Jesus.
Testifying both
to the Jews,
and
also to the Greeks,
repentance
toward God,
and faith
toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
And he said,
The God
of our fathers
hath chosen thee,
that thou
shouldest know
his will,
and see
that Just One,
and shouldest hear
the voice
of his mouth.
Paul,
a servant
of Jesus Christ,
called to be
an apostle,
separated
unto the gospel
of God,
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ
our Lord,
which was made of the seed
of David
according to the flesh;
Among whom are
ye also
the called
of Jesus Christ:
In the day
when God
shall judge
the secrets
of men
by Jesus Christ
according to my gospel.
Being justified freely
by his grace
through the redemption
that is
in Christ Jesus:
Therefore being justified
by faith,
we have peace
with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ:
And not only so,
but
we also joy
in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom
we have now received
the atonement.
But not as the offence,
so also is
the free gift.
For if
through the offence
of one many
be dead,
much more
the grace of God,
and the gift
by grace,
which is by one man,
Jesus Christ,
hath abounded
unto many.
For if
by one man's offence
death
reigned
by one;
much more
they
which receive abundance
of grace
and of the gift
of righteousness
shall reign
in life
by one,
Jesus Christ.)
Know ye not,
that so many of us
as were baptized
into Jesus Christ
were baptized
into his death?
Likewise
reckon
ye also
yourselves
to be dead
indeed unto sin,
but alive
unto God
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
For the wages
of sin
is death;
but
the gift
of God
is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
There is therefore now
no condemnation
to them
which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not
after the flesh,
but after the Spirit.
Nor height,
nor depth,
nor any other creature,
shall be able
to separate us
from the love
of God,
which is in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
Whose are the fathers,
and of whom as
concerning
the flesh Christ came,
who is over all,
God blessed
for ever.
Amen.
For there is no difference
between the Jew
and the Greek:
for the same Lord
over all is rich
unto all that call
upon him.
And
so all Israel
shall be saved:
as it is written,
There shall come
out of Sion the Deliverer,
and shall turn away ungodliness
from Jacob:
But put
ye on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and make not provision
for the flesh,
to fulfil the lusts
thereof.
For to this end
Christ both died,
and rose,
and revived,
that he
might be Lord both
of the dead and living.
Paul called
to be an apostle
of Jesus Christ
through the will
of God,
and Sosthenes
our brother,
Unto the church
of God which
is at Corinth,
to them
that are sanctified
in Christ Jesus,
called to be saints,
with all
that in every place call
upon the name
of Jesus Christ our Lord,
both their's
and our's:
I thank
my God
always on your behalf,
for the grace
of God which
is given you
by Jesus Christ;
God is faithful,
by whom
ye were called unto the fellowship
of his Son Jesus Christ
our Lord.
But
unto them which
are called,
both Jews
and Greeks,
Christ the power
of God,
and the wisdom
of God.
But of him are
ye in Christ Jesus,
who of God
is made
unto us wisdom,
and righteousness,
and sanctification,
and redemption:
For I
determined not
to know any thing
among you,
save Jesus Christ,
and him crucified.
Purge out therefore
the old leaven,
that ye
may be
a new lump,
as ye
are unleavened.
For even
Christ our passover
is sacrificed for us:
Now concerning virgins
I have no commandment
of the Lord:
yet I
give
my judgment,
as one
that hath obtained mercy
of the Lord
to be faithful.
And did all drink
the same spiritual drink:
for they
drank of that
spiritual Rock
that followed them:
and that Rock
was Christ.
But I
would have
you know,
that the head
of every man
is Christ;
and the head
of the woman
is the man;
and
the head
of Christ is God.
And so
it is written,
The first man Adam
was made
a living soul;
the last Adam
was made
a quickening spirit.
The first man
is of the earth,
earthy;
the second man
is the Lord
from heaven.
For the Son
of God, Jesus Christ,
who was preached
among you by us,
even by me and Silvanus
and Timotheus,
was not yea
and nay,
but in him was yea.
For God,
who commanded the light
to shine out of darkness,
hath shined
in our hearts,
to give the light
of the knowledge
of the glory
of God
in the face
of Jesus Christ.
Examine yourselves,
whether ye
be in the faith;
prove your own selves.
Know
ye not
your own selves,
how that Jesus Christ
is in you,
except ye
be reprobates?
Knowing that a man
is not justified
by the works
of the law,
but by the faith
of Jesus Christ,
even
we have believed
in Jesus Christ,
that we
might be justified by the faith
of Christ,
and
not by the works
of the law:
for by the works
of the law
shall no flesh
be justified.
To the praise
of the glory
of his grace,
wherein he
hath made us
accepted
in the beloved.
And are built upon the foundation
of the apostles
and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself
being the chief corner stone;
For the husband
is the head
of the wife,
even as Christ
is the head
of the church:
and
he is the saviour
of the body.
For God
is my record,
how greatly
I long after you
all in the bowels
of Jesus Christ.
And
that every tongue
should confess
that Jesus Christ
is Lord,
to the glory
of God the Father.
Who hath delivered us
from the power
of darkness,
and hath translated us
into the kingdom
of his dear Son:
And
he is the head
of the body,
the church:
who is the beginning,
the firstborn
from the dead;
that in all
things
he might have
the preeminence.
And whatsoever
ye do
in word or deed,
do all
in the name
of the Lord Jesus,
giving
thanks
to God
and the Father
by him.
Knowing that
of the Lord
ye shall receive
the reward
of the inheritance:
for ye
serve the Lord Christ.
For ye
know
what commandments
we gave you
by the Lord Jesus.
Paul,
an apostle
of Jesus Christ
by the commandment
of God our Saviour,
and Lord Jesus Christ,
which is our hope;
And
I thank Christ Jesus
our Lord,
who hath enabled me,
for that
he counted me faithful,
putting me
into the ministry;
This is a faithful saying,
and worthy
of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus
came
into the world
to save sinners;
of whom
I am chief.
For this
is good
and acceptable
in the sight
of God our Saviour;
For there is one God,
and one mediator
between God
and men,
the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom
for all,
to be testified
in due time.
And
without controversy great
is the mystery
of godliness:
God was
manifest
in the flesh,
justified
in the Spirit,
seen of angels,
preached
unto the Gentiles,
believed on
in the world,
received up
into glory.
Which in his times
he shall shew,
who is the blessed
and only Potentate,
the King
of kings,
and Lord
of lords;
But is now made
manifest
by the appearing
of our Saviour Jesus Christ,
who hath abolished death,
and hath brought life
and immortality
to light
through the gospel:
Remember
that Jesus Christ
of the seed
of David
was raised
from the dead
according to my gospel:
Henceforth there is laid up
for me a crown
of righteousness,
which the Lord,
the righteous judge,
shall give me
at that day:
and not to me only,
but unto all them
also that love
his appearing.
To Titus,
mine own son
after the common faith:
Grace,
mercy,
and peace,
from God
the Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ
our Saviour.
Looking for
that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing
of the great God
and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Which he
shed
on us abundantly through
Jesus Christ
our Saviour;
Hath
in these last days
spoken unto us
by his Son,
whom
he hath appointed heir
of all things,
by whom also
he made
the worlds;
Who being the brightness
of his glory,
and the express image
of his person,
and upholding all things
by the word
of his power,
when he
had by himself
purged
our sins,
sat down
on the right hand
of the Majesty
on high:
And again,
when
he bringeth in the firstbegotten
into the world,
he saith,
And let all
the angels
of God
worship him.
For it
became him,
for whom
are all things,
and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons
unto glory,
to make the captain
of their salvation perfect
through sufferings.
Wherefore,
holy brethren,
partakers
of the heavenly calling,
consider the Apostle
and High Priest
of our profession,
Christ Jesus;
Seeing
then that
we have
a great high priest,
that is passed
into the heavens,
Jesus the Son
of God,
let us
hold
fast our profession.
Whither
the forerunner
is for us entered,
even Jesus,
made an high priest
for ever after the order
of Melchisedec.
For he testifieth,
Thou art a priest
for ever after the order
of Melchisedec.
By so much
was
Jesus
made
a surety
of a better testament.
A minister
of the sanctuary,
and
of the true tabernacle,
which the Lord pitched,
and not man.
Looking unto Jesus
the author
and finisher
of our faith;
who for the joy
that was set
before him
endured the cross,
despising
the shame,
and is set down
at the right hand
of the throne
of God.
Jesus Christ
the same yesterday,
and to day,
and for ever.
Now the God
of peace,
that brought again
from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that great shepherd
of the sheep,
through the blood
of the everlasting covenant,
My brethren,
have not
the faith
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Lord
of glory,
with respect
of persons.
To whom coming,
as unto a living stone,
disallowed indeed
of men,
but chosen
of God,
and precious,
Wherefore also
it is contained
in the scripture,
Behold,
I lay
in Sion
a chief corner stone,
elect,
precious:
and
he that believeth
on him shall not be confounded.
And a stone
of stumbling,
and a rock
of offence,
even to them
which stumble
at the word,
being disobedient:
whereunto also
they were appointed.
For ye
were as sheep going astray;
but are now returned
unto the Shepherd
and Bishop
of your souls.
And
when the chief Shepherd
shall appear,
ye shall receive
a crown
of glory that
fadeth
not away.
But the God
of all grace,
who hath called us
unto his eternal glory
by Christ Jesus,
after that
ye have suffered
a while,
make you perfect,
stablish,
strengthen,
settle you.
Greet
ye one another
with a kiss
of charity.
Peace be with you
all that
are in Christ Jesus.
Amen.
Simon Peter,
a servant
and an apostle
of Jesus Christ,
to them
that have obtained like precious faith
with us
through the righteousness
of God
and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
For so
an entrance
shall be ministered
unto you
abundantly into the everlasting kingdom
of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We have also
a more sure word
of prophecy;
whereunto
ye do well
that
ye take heed,
as unto a light
that shineth in a dark place,
until the day dawn,
and the day
star
arise
in your hearts:
But grow
in grace,
and
in the knowledge
of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him
be glory both
now and
for ever.
Amen.
That which
was from the beginning,
which we
have heard,
which we
have seen
with our eyes,
which we
have looked upon,
and our hands
have handled,
of the Word
of life;
But
if we
walk
in the light,
as he
is in the light,
we have fellowship one
with another,
and the blood
of Jesus Christ
his Son
cleanseth us
from all sin.
My little children,
these things
write
I unto you,
that ye
sin not.
And
if any man sin,
we have
an advocate
with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous:
And
he is the propitiation
for our sins:
and not for our's only,
but also for the sins
of the whole world.
And
we have seen
and do testify
that the Father
sent the Son
to be the Saviour
of the world.
And we
know that
the Son
of God
is come,
and hath given us
an understanding,
that we
may know him
that is true,
and
we are in him
that is true,
even in his Son Jesus Christ.
This is the true God,
and eternal life.
Grace be
with you,
mercy,
and peace,
from God the Father,
and
from the Lord Jesus Christ,
the Son
of the Father,
in truth and love.
To the
only wise God our Saviour,
be glory
and majesty,
dominion
and power,
both now
and ever.
Amen.
John
to the seven churches
which are in Asia:
Grace
be
unto you,
and peace,
from him
which is,
and which was,
and which
is to come;
and from the seven Spirits
which are before his throne;
And
from Jesus Christ,
who is the faithful witness,
and the first begotten
of the dead,
and the prince
of the kings
of the earth.
Unto him that
loved us,
and washed us
from our sins
in his own blood,
I am Alpha
and Omega,
the beginning
and the ending,
saith the Lord,
which is,
and which was,
and which
is to come,
the Almighty.
And
when I
saw him,
I fell
at his feet
as dead.
And he
laid
his right hand
upon me,
saying unto me,
Fear not;
I am the first
and the last:
And
unto the angel
of the church
in Smyrna write;
These things
saith the first
and the last,
which was dead,
and is alive;
And unto the angel
of the church
of the Laodiceans write;
These things
saith the Amen,
the faithful
and true witness,
the beginning
of the creation
of God;
And
one
of the elders
saith unto me,
Weep not:
behold,
the Lion
of the tribe
of Juda,
the Root
of David,
hath prevailed
to open the book,
and
to loose
the seven seals
thereof.
And I beheld,
and,
lo,
in the midst
of the throne
and of the four beasts,
and in the midst
of the elders,
stood a Lamb as it
had been slain,
having seven horns
and seven eyes,
which are
the seven Spirits
of God
sent forth
into all the earth.
And
when
he had taken
the book,
the four beasts
and four
and twenty elders
fell down
before the Lamb,
having every one
of them harps,
and golden vials
full of odours,
which are the prayers
of saints.
And said
to the mountains
and rocks,
Fall on us,
and hide us
from the face
of him that
sitteth on the throne,
and
from the wrath
of the Lamb:
After this
I beheld,
and,
lo,
a great multitude,
which no man
could number,
of all nations,
and kindreds,
and people,
and tongues,
stood
before the throne,
and
before the Lamb,
clothed
with white robes,
and palms
in their hands;
And cried
with a loud voice,
saying,
Salvation
to our God
which sitteth upon the throne,
and
unto the Lamb.
For the Lamb
which is in the midst
of the throne
shall feed them,
and shall lead them
unto living fountains
of waters:
and God
shall wipe
away all
tears
from their eyes.
And
they overcame him by the blood
of the Lamb,
and by the word
of their testimony;
and
they loved not
their lives
unto the death.
And
when the dragon
saw
that he
was cast
unto the earth,
he persecuted
the woman which
brought forth the man child.
And all that
dwell
upon the earth
shall worship him,
whose names
are not written
in the book
of life
of the Lamb
slain
from the foundation
of the world.
And I
beheld
another
beast
coming up
out of the earth;
and he
had two horns like
a lamb,
and
he spake as a dragon.
And I looked,
and,
lo,
a Lamb
stood
on the mount Sion,
and with him an hundred forty
and four thousand,
having
his Father's name
written
in their foreheads.
These are
they which
were not defiled
with women;
for they
are virgins.
These are
they
which follow
the Lamb
whithersoever
he goeth.
These were redeemed from
among men,
being the firstfruits
unto God
and to the Lamb.
And they
sing
the song
of Moses
the servant
of God,
and the song
of the Lamb,
saying,
Great
and marvellous
are
thy works,
Lord God Almighty;
just and true
are thy ways,
thou King
of saints.
These shall make
war with the Lamb,
and the Lamb
shall overcome them:
for he
is Lord of lords,
and King
of kings:
and they
that are with him
are called,
and chosen,
and faithful.
Let us
be glad
and rejoice,
and give
honour to him:
for the marriage
of the Lamb
is come,
and his wife
hath made herself ready.
And
he saith unto me,
Write,
Blessed
are
they which
are called
unto the marriage supper
of the Lamb.
And
he saith unto me,
These
are
the true sayings
of God.
And I
saw heaven opened,
and behold
a white horse;
and he
that sat
upon him was called Faithful
and True,
and
in righteousness
he doth judge
and make war.
And
he was clothed
with a vesture
dipped in blood:
and his name
is called The Word
of God.
And
he hath
on his vesture
and on his thigh
a name written,
KING OF KINGS,
AND LORD OF LORDS.
And there came
unto me one
of the seven angels which
had the seven vials full of
the seven last plagues,
and
talked with me,
saying,
Come hither,
I will shew thee
the bride,
the Lamb's wife.
And the wall
of the city
had twelve foundations,
and in them the names
of the twelve apostles
of the Lamb.
And I
saw
no temple therein:
for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb
are the temple of it.
And the city
had no
need
of the sun,
neither of the moon,
to shine in it:
for the glory
of God
did lighten it,
and the Lamb
is
the light thereof.
And there shall
in no wise
enter into it
any thing
that defileth,
neither whatsoever worketh
abomination,
or maketh a lie:
but
they which
are written in the Lamb's book
of life.
I am Alpha
and Omega,
the beginning
and the end,
the first
and the last.
I Jesus
have sent
mine angel
to testify
unto you
these things
in the churches.
I am the root
and the offspring
of David,
and the bright
and morning star.
