And shewing mercy
unto thousands of
them that love me,
and keep
my commandments.
And
thou shalt love
the LORD thy God
with all thine heart,
and
with all thy soul,
and with all
thy might.
Know therefore
that the LORD
thy God,
he is God,
the faithful God,
which keepeth covenant
and mercy
with them that love him
and keep
his commandments
to a thousand generations;
And now,
Israel,
what doth
the LORD thy God
require
of thee,
but to fear
the LORD thy God,
to walk
in all his ways,
and to love him,
and
to serve the LORD
thy God
with all thy heart
and
with all thy soul,
Therefore thou
shalt love the LORD
thy God,
and keep
his charge,
and his statutes,
and his judgments,
and his commandments,
alway.
Thou shalt not hearken
unto the words
of that prophet,
or that dreamer
of dreams:
for the LORD
your God
proveth you,
to know
whether ye
love
the LORD your God
with all your heart
and
with all your soul.
And the LORD
thy God
will circumcise
thine heart,
and the heart
of thy seed,
to love the LORD
thy God
with all thine heart,
and
with all thy soul,
that thou
mayest live.
But take diligent
heed
to do the commandment
and the law,
which Moses the servant
of the LORD
charged you,
to love the LORD
your God,
and
to walk
in all his ways,
and to keep
his commandments,
and to cleave unto him,
and
to serve him
with all your heart
and
with all your soul.
Take good
heed therefore
unto yourselves,
that ye
love
the LORD your God.
I will love thee,
O LORD,
my strength.
O love the LORD,
all
ye his saints:
for the LORD
preserveth the faithful,
and plentifully rewardeth
the proud doer.
Delight thyself
also in the LORD:
and he
shall give
thee the desires
of thine heart.
Hearken,
O daughter,
and consider,
and incline
thine ear;
forget also
thine own people,
and thy father's house;
So shall
the king
greatly desire
thy beauty:
for he
is thy Lord;
and worship
thou him.
My soul
shall be satisfied as
with marrow
and fatness;
and my mouth
shall praise thee
with joyful lips:
When
I remember thee
upon my bed,
and meditate
on thee
in the night watches.
For God
will save Zion,
and will build
the cities
of Judah:
that they
may dwell there,
and have it
in possession.
The seed
also of his servants
shall inherit it:
and
they
that love his name
shall dwell
therein.
Whom have
I in heaven
but thee?
and there is none
upon earth
that
I desire beside thee.
My flesh
and my heart faileth:
but God
is the strength
of my heart,
and my portion
for ever.
Because
he hath set
his love
upon me,
therefore will
I deliver him:
I will set him
on high,
because
he hath known
my name.
Ye that love
the LORD,
hate evil:
he preserveth the souls
of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the
hand
of the wicked.
I love the LORD,
because
he hath heard
my voice
and my supplications.
The LORD
preserveth all them that love him:
but all
the wicked
will he destroy.
I love them
that love me;
and those that
seek me early
shall find me.
My son,
give me
thine heart,
and let
thine eyes
observe my ways.
Also the sons
of the stranger,
that join themselves
to the LORD,
to serve him,
and
to love the name
of the LORD,
to be his servants,
every one that
keepeth
the sabbath
from polluting it,
and taketh
hold
of my covenant;
Even
them will
I bring
to my holy mountain,
and make them joyful
in my house
of prayer:
their burnt offerings
and their sacrifices
shall be accepted
upon mine altar;
for mine
house
shall be called an house
of prayer
for all people.
Go and cry
in the ears
of Jerusalem,
saying,
Thus saith the LORD;
I remember thee,
the kindness
of thy youth,
the love
of thine espousals,
when thou
wentest
after me
in the wilderness,
in a land
that was not sown.
Israel was holiness
unto the LORD,
and the firstfruits
of his increase:
all that
devour him
shall offend;
evil shall come upon them,
saith the LORD.
He that
loveth
father
or mother more than me
is not worthy of me:
and he
that loveth son
or daughter
more than me
is not worthy of me.
Then shall
the King
say
unto them on his right hand,
Come,
ye blessed
of my Father,
inherit
the kingdom prepared
for you
from the foundation
of the world:
For I
was an hungred,
and
ye gave me meat:
I was thirsty,
and
ye gave me drink:
I was a stranger,
and
ye took me in:
Naked,
and
ye clothed me:
I was sick,
and
ye visited me:
I was in prison,
and
ye came unto me.
Then shall
the righteous
answer him,
saying,
Lord,
when saw
we thee
an hungred,
and fed thee?
or thirsty,
and gave thee drink?
When saw
we thee
a stranger,
and took thee in?
or naked,
and clothed thee?
Or when
saw
we thee sick,
or in prison,
and came
unto thee?
And the King
shall answer
and
say unto them,
Verily I
say unto you,
Inasmuch as
ye have done it
unto one
of the least
of these my brethren,
ye have done it
unto me.
And many women
were there beholding afar off,
which followed Jesus
from Galilee,
ministering unto him:
Among which was Mary Magdalene,
and Mary
the mother
of James
and Joses,
and the mother
of Zebedees children.
When the even was come,
there came
a rich man
of Arimathaea,
named Joseph,
who
also himself
was Jesus' disciple:
He went to Pilate,
and begged
the body
of Jesus.
Then Pilate
commanded
the body
to be delivered.
And
when Joseph
had taken
the body,
he wrapped it
in a clean linen cloth,
And laid it
in his own new tomb,
which he
had hewn out
in the rock:
and he
rolled
a great stone
to the door
of the sepulchre,
and departed.
And there was
Mary Magdalene,
and the other Mary,
sitting over
against the sepulchre.
For whosoever
shall give
you a cup
of water
to drink
in my name,
because
ye belong
to Christ,
verily
I say unto you,
he shall not lose
his reward.
And Jesus
answered him,
The first of all
the commandments is,
Hear, O Israel;
The Lord our God
is one Lord:
And
thou shalt love
the Lord thy God
with all thy heart,
and
with all thy soul,
and
with all
thy mind,
and
with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment.
And the scribe
said unto him,
Well, Master,
thou hast said
the truth:
for there is one God;
and there is none other
but he:
And
to love him
with all the heart,
and
with all
the understanding,
and
with all the soul,
and
with all the strength,
and
to love his neighbour
as himself,
is more than all
whole burnt offerings
and sacrifices.
Lord,
now lettest
thou thy servant
depart in peace,
according to
thy word:
Wherefore
I say unto thee,
Her sins,
which are many,
are forgiven;
for she
loved much:
but
to whom little
is forgiven,
the same loveth little.
But woe unto you,
Pharisees!
for ye
tithe
mint
and rue
and all manner
of herbs,
and pass
over judgment
and the love
of God:
these ought
ye to have done,
and not
to leave
the other undone.
But I
know you,
that ye
have not the love
of God in you.
Jesus
said unto them,
If God
were your Father,
ye would love me:
for I
proceeded forth
and came
from God;
neither came
I of myself,
but he sent me.
If ye
love me,
keep my commandments.
He that
hath my commandments,
and keepeth them,
he it
is
that loveth me:
and he
that loveth me
shall be loved
of my Father,
and
I will love him,
and will manifest myself
to him.
Jesus
answered
and
said unto him,
If a man
love me,
he will keep
my words:
and my Father
will love him,
and
we will come unto him,
and make
our abode
with him.
Ye have heard how
I said unto you,
I go away,
and come again
unto you.
If ye
loved me,
ye would rejoice,
because
I said,
I go
unto the Father:
for my Father
is greater than I.
As the Father
hath loved me,
so have
I loved you:
continue ye in my love.
For the Father himself
loveth you,
because
ye have loved me,
and have believed
that I
came out
from God.
And
I have declared
unto them thy name,
and will declare it:
that the love
wherewith
thou hast loved me
may be in them,
and I in them.
He saith
unto him the third time,
Simon,
son of Jonas,
lovest thou me?
Peter
was grieved
because
he said
unto him the third time,
Lovest thou me?
And
he said unto him,
Lord,
thou knowest
all things;
thou knowest that
I love thee.
Jesus
saith unto him,
Feed my sheep.
Then Paul answered,
What
mean
ye to weep and
to break mine heart?
for I
am ready not
to be bound only,
but
also to die
at Jerusalem
for the name
of the Lord Jesus.
And hope
maketh not ashamed;
because
the love
of God
is shed abroad
in our hearts
by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us.
And we
know
that all things work together
for good
to them
that love God,
to them
who are
the called according to his purpose.
But
if any man
love God,
the same
is known of him.
If any man
love not
the Lord Jesus Christ,
let him
be Anathema Maranatha.
We are confident,
I say,
and willing
rather to be absent
from the body,
and
to be
present
with the Lord.
For the love
of Christ
constraineth us;
because
we thus judge,
that if one
died
for all,
then were all dead:
And
that he
died
for all,
that they which live
should not henceforth live
unto themselves,
but
unto him
which died for them,
and rose again.
For in Jesus Christ neither
circumcision
availeth any thing,
nor uncircumcision;
but faith which
worketh by love.
But
the fruit
of the Spirit
is love,
joy,
peace,
longsuffering,
gentleness,
goodness,
faith,
But God
forbid that
I should glory,
save in the cross
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom
the world
is crucified unto me,
and
I unto the world.
That Christ
may dwell
in your hearts
by faith;
that ye,
being rooted
and grounded
in love,
May be able
to comprehend
with all saints
what is the breadth,
and length,
and depth,
and height;
And
to know the love
of Christ,
which passeth knowledge,
that ye
might be filled
with all
the fulness
of God.
But speaking the truth
in love,
may grow up
into him
in all things,
which is the head,
even Christ:
Grace
be
with all
them that love
our Lord Jesus Christ
in sincerity.
Amen.
And this
I pray,
that your love
may abound yet
more
and more
in knowledge
and in all judgment;
For I
am in a strait
betwixt two,
having a desire
to depart,
and
to be
with Christ;
which is
far better:
But
what things
were gain to me,
those I
counted loss
for Christ.
Yea doubtless,
and
I count all things
but loss
for the excellency
of the knowledge
of Christ Jesus my Lord:
for whom
I have suffered
the loss
of all things,
and do count them
but dung,
that I
may win Christ,
Who also declared
unto us your love
in the Spirit.
And the Lord
direct your hearts
into the love
of God,
and
into the patient
waiting
for Christ.
For God
hath not given us the spirit
of fear;
but of power,
and of love,
and
of a sound mind.
Hold
fast
the form
of sound words,
which thou
hast heard of me,
in faith
and love which
is in Christ Jesus.
Henceforth there is laid up
for me a crown
of righteousness,
which the Lord,
the righteous judge,
shall give me
at that day:
and not to me only,
but unto all them
also that love
his appearing.
Hearing of thy
love
and faith,
which thou
hast toward
the Lord Jesus,
and
toward all saints;
For God
is not unrighteous
to forget your work
and labour
of love,
which ye
have shewed toward
his name,
in that
ye have ministered
to the saints,
and do minister.
Blessed is the man
that endureth temptation:
for when
he is tried,
he shall receive the crown
of life,
which the Lord
hath promised
to them that love him.
Hearken,
my beloved brethren,
Hath
not God
chosen
the poor
of this world rich in faith,
and heirs
of the kingdom
which he
hath promised
to them that love him?
Whom having not seen,
ye love;
in whom,
though now
ye see him not,
yet believing,
ye rejoice
with joy
unspeakable
and full of glory:
Unto you therefore which
believe
he is precious:
but unto them
which be disobedient,
the stone
which the builders disallowed,
the same
is made
the head
of the corner,
But
whoso keepeth his word,
in him verily is
the love
of God perfected:
hereby know
we that
we are in him.
Love
not the world,
neither the things
that are in the world.
If any man
love the world,
the love
of the Father
is not in him.
But
whoso
hath
this world's good,
and seeth
his brother
have need,
and shutteth up his bowels
of compassion
from him,
how dwelleth the love
of God in him?
My little children,
let us
not love in word,
neither in tongue;
but in deed
and in truth.
No man
hath seen God
at any time.
If we
love one
another,
God
dwelleth in us,
and his love
is perfected in us.
And we
have known
and believed
the love that God
hath to us.
God is love;
and
he that
dwelleth in love
dwelleth in God,
and God
in him.
Herein is our love
made perfect,
that we
may have boldness
in the day
of judgment:
because as he is,
so are
we in this world.
There is
no fear in love;
but perfect
love
casteth out fear:
because
fear hath torment.
He that
feareth
is not made
perfect
in love.
We love him,
because
he first loved us.
If a man say,
I love God,
and hateth his brother,
he is a liar:
for he
that loveth not
his brother whom
he hath seen,
how can
he love God whom
he hath not seen?
And this commandment
have
we from him,
That he
who loveth
God love
his brother also.
Whosoever
believeth that Jesus
is the Christ
is born
of God:
and every one
that
loveth him
that begat
loveth him
also that is begotten of him.
By this
we know that
we love
the children
of God,
when we
love God,
and keep
his commandments.
For this
is the love
of God,
that we
keep his commandments:
and his commandments
are not grievous.
And this
is love,
that we
walk
after his commandments.
This is the commandment,
That,
as ye
have heard
from the beginning,
ye should walk in it.
Keep yourselves
in the love
of God,
looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ
unto eternal life.
Nevertheless
I have somewhat
against thee,
because
thou hast left
thy first love.
