The sceptre
shall not depart
from Judah,
nor a lawgiver from
between his feet,
until Shiloh come;
and
unto him shall
the gathering
of the people be.
I shall see him,
but not now:
I shall behold him,
but not nigh:
there shall come a Star
out of Jacob,
and a Sceptre
shall rise out of Israel,
and shall smite
the corners
of Moab,
and destroy all
the children
of Sheth.
The adversaries
of the LORD
shall be broken
to pieces;
out of heaven shall
he thunder upon them:
the LORD
shall judge
the ends
of the earth;
and
he shall give strength
unto his king,
and exalt
the horn
of his anointed.
Yet have
I set
my king
upon my holy hill
of Zion.
Thou hast delivered me
from the strivings
of the people;
and
thou hast made me
the head
of the heathen:
a people whom
I have not known
shall serve me.
Who is this King
of glory?
The LORD strong
and mighty,
the LORD mighty
in battle.
Gird thy sword
upon thy thigh,
O most mighty,
with thy
glory
and thy majesty.
And in thy majesty
ride prosperously
because
of truth
and meekness
and righteousness;
and thy
right hand
shall teach
thee terrible things.
Thine arrows
are sharp
in the heart
of the king's enemies;
whereby
the people fall
under thee.
Thy throne,
O God,
is for ever
and ever:
the sceptre
of thy kingdom
is a right sceptre.
Thou lovest righteousness,
and hatest wickedness:
therefore God,
thy God,
hath anointed thee
with the oil
of gladness
above thy fellows.
They shall fear
thee as long
as the sun
and moon endure,
throughout all generations.
He shall have dominion
also from sea to sea,
and from the river
unto the ends
of the earth.
Yea,
all kings
shall fall down
before him:
all nations
shall serve him.
I have made
a covenant
with my chosen,
I have sworn
unto David my servant,
Thy seed
will
I establish
for ever,
and build up
thy throne
to all generations.
Selah.
Then
thou spakest in vision
to thy holy one,
and saidst,
I have laid
help upon one
that is mighty;
I have exalted one
chosen
out of the people.
I have found David
my servant;
with my holy oil
have
I anointed him:
With whom my hand
shall be established:
mine
arm
also shall strengthen him.
And
I will beat down his foes
before his face,
and plague them
that hate him.
Also I
will make him
my firstborn,
higher
than the kings
of the earth.
His seed
also will
I make
to endure
for ever,
and his throne
as the days
of heaven.
His seed
shall endure
for ever,
and his throne
as the sun
before me.
It shall be established for
ever as the moon,
and
as a faithful witness
in heaven.
Selah.
The LORD
said unto my Lord,
Sit
thou
at my right hand,
until I
make
thine enemies thy footstool.
The LORD
shall send the rod
of thy strength
out of Zion:
rule
thou
in the midst
of thine enemies.
The LORD
hath sworn
in truth
unto David;
he will not turn
from it;
Of the fruit
of thy body
will
I set
upon thy throne.
There will
I make
the horn
of David to bud:
I have ordained
a lamp
for mine anointed.
In the year
that king Uzziah
died
I saw also
the LORD
sitting
upon a throne,
high
and lifted up,
and his train
filled the temple.
For unto us a child
is born,
unto us a son
is given:
and the government
shall be
upon his shoulder:
and his name
shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince
of Peace.
Of the increase
of his government
and
peace
there shall be
no end,
upon the throne
of David,
and
upon his kingdom,
to order it,
and
to establish it
with judgment
and with justice from
henceforth even for ever.
The zeal
of the LORD
of hosts
will perform this.
And in that day
there shall be
a root of Jesse,
which shall stand for
an ensign
of the people;
to it shall
the Gentiles seek:
and his rest
shall be glorious.
Behold,
a king
shall reign
in righteousness,
and princes
shall rule
in judgment.
Thine eyes
shall see
the king
in his beauty:
they
shall behold
the land
that is very far off.
Behold,
the Lord GOD
will come
with strong hand,
and his arm
shall rule for him:
behold,
his reward
is with him,
and his work
before him.
How beautiful
upon the mountains
are
the feet
of him that
bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings
of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth!
Behold,
my servant
shall deal prudently,
he shall be exalted
and extolled,
and be very high.
Behold,
the days come,
saith the LORD,
that I
will raise
unto David
a righteous Branch,
and a King
shall reign and
prosper,
and shall execute judgment
and justice
in the earth.
In his days Judah
shall be saved,
and Israel
shall dwell safely:
and this
is
his name
whereby
he shall be called,
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
But
they shall serve
the LORD their God,
and David
their king,
whom
I will raise up unto them.
For thus
saith the LORD;
David shall never want
a man to sit
upon the throne
of the house
of Israel;
And David
my servant
shall be king
over them;
and
they all shall have
one shepherd:
they shall also walk
in my judgments,
and observe
my statutes,
and do them.
And
they shall dwell
in the land
that
I have given
unto Jacob my servant,
wherein your fathers
have dwelt;
and
they shall dwell
therein,
even they,
and their children,
and their children's children
for ever:
and my servant David
shall be their prince
for ever.
Then was the iron,
the clay,
the brass,
the silver,
and the gold,
broken
to pieces together,
and became like
the chaff
of the summer threshingfloors;
and the wind
carried them away,
that no place
was found for them:
and the stone
that
smote
the image
became
a great mountain,
and filled
the whole earth.
And in the days
of these kings
shall
the God
of heaven
set up
a kingdom,
which shall never be destroyed:
and the kingdom
shall not be left
to other people,
but it
shall break
in pieces
and consume all
these kingdoms,
and it
shall stand for ever.
I saw
in the night visions,
and,
behold,
one like the Son
of man
came
with the clouds
of heaven,
and came
to the Ancient
of days,
and they
brought
him near
before him.
And there was given him
dominion,
and glory,
and a kingdom,
that all people,
nations,
and languages,
should serve him:
his dominion
is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away,
and his kingdom that which
shall not be destroyed.
And
in the latter time
of their kingdom,
when the transgressors
are come
to the full,
a king
of fierce countenance,
and understanding dark sentences,
shall stand up.
And
through his policy also
he shall cause
craft
to prosper
in his hand;
and
he shall magnify himself
in his heart,
and by peace
shall destroy many:
he shall also stand up
against the Prince
of princes;
but
he shall be broken
without hand.
Know therefore
and understand,
that from the going forth
of the commandment
to restore
and
to build
Jerusalem
unto the Messiah
the Prince
shall be
seven weeks,
and threescore
and two weeks:
the street
shall be built again,
and the wall,
even in troublous times.
Afterward shall
the children
of Israel return,
and seek
the LORD their God,
and David
their king;
and shall fear
the LORD
and his goodness
in the latter days.
But thou,
Bethlehem Ephratah,
though thou
be little
among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of thee shall
he come forth
unto me that is
to be ruler
in Israel;
whose goings
forth have been from
of old,
from everlasting.
And
he shall stand
and feed
in the strength
of the LORD,
in the majesty
of the name
of the LORD his God;
and
they shall abide:
for now shall
he be great
unto the ends
of the earth.
Even
he shall build
the temple
of the LORD;
and
he shall bear
the glory,
and shall sit
and rule
upon his throne;
and
he shall be a priest
upon his throne:
and
the counsel
of peace
shall be
between them both.
Rejoice greatly,
O daughter
of Zion;
shout,
O daughter
of Jerusalem:
behold,
thy King
cometh unto thee:
he is just,
and having
salvation;
lowly,
and riding
upon an ass,
and
upon a colt
the foal
of an ass.
And
I will cut off
the chariot
from Ephraim,
and the horse
from Jerusalem,
and the battle bow
shall be cut off:
and
he shall speak peace
unto the heathen:
and his dominion
shall be from sea
even to sea,
and
from the river
even to the ends
of the earth.
Saying,
Where
is
he that is born King
of the Jews?
for we
have seen his star
in the east,
and are come
to worship him.
And
thou Bethlehem,
in the land
of Juda,
art not
the least
among the princes
of Juda:
for out of thee shall come
a Governor,
that shall rule
my people Israel.
Whose fan
is in his hand,
and
he will throughly purge
his floor,
and gather
his wheat
into the garner;
but
he will burn up the chaff
with unquenchable fire.
But
I say unto you,
That in this place
is one
greater than the temple.
The Son of man
shall send
forth his angels,
and they
shall gather
out of his kingdom
all things that offend,
and them which
do iniquity;
And Jesus
said unto them,
Verily I
say unto you,
That ye
which have followed me,
in the regeneration
when the Son
of man
shall sit
in the throne
of his glory,
ye also shall sit
upon twelve thrones,
judging
the twelve tribes
of Israel.
Tell
ye the daughter
of Sion, Behold,
thy King
cometh unto thee,
meek,
and sitting
upon an ass,
and a colt
the foal
of an ass.
When the Son
of man
shall come in
his glory,
and all
the holy angels
with him,
then shall
he sit
upon the throne
of his glory:
And
before him
shall be gathered
all nations:
and
he shall separate them one
from another,
as a shepherd
divideth
his sheep
from the goats:
And he
shall set
the sheep
on his right hand,
but the goats
on the left.
Then shall
the King
say
unto them on his right hand,
Come,
ye blessed
of my Father,
inherit
the kingdom prepared
for you
from the foundation
of the world:
Jesus
saith unto him,
Thou hast said:
nevertheless
I say unto you,
Hereafter
shall
ye see
the Son
of man
sitting
on the right hand
of power,
and coming in
the clouds
of heaven.
And Jesus
stood
before the governor:
and the governor
asked him,
saying,
Art
thou the King
of the Jews?
And Jesus
said unto him,
Thou sayest.
And Jesus
came
and
spake unto them,
saying,
All power
is given unto me
in heaven
and in earth.
He shall be great,
and shall be called
the Son
of the Highest:
and the Lord God
shall give
unto him the throne
of his father David:
And
he shall reign
over the house
of Jacob
for ever;
and
of his kingdom
there shall be
no end.
For unto you
is born
this day
in the city
of David a Saviour,
which is Christ
the Lord.
All things
are delivered to me
of my Father:
and
no man
knoweth
who the Son is,
but the Father;
and
who the Father is,
but the Son,
and he
to whom the Son
will reveal him.
But
those mine enemies,
which would not
that I
should reign over them,
bring hither,
and slay them
before me.
And
I appoint
unto you
a kingdom,
as my Father
hath appointed unto me;
That ye
may eat
and drink
at my table
in my kingdom,
and sit
on thrones
judging
the twelve tribes
of Israel.
And he
said
unto Jesus, Lord,
remember me
when thou
comest into thy kingdom.
Nathanael
answered
and
saith unto him,
Rabbi,
thou art
the Son
of God;
thou art
the King
of Israel.
He that
cometh from above
is above all:
he that is
of the earth
is earthly,
and speaketh of the earth:
he that
cometh from heaven
is above all.
Took
branches
of palm trees,
and went forth
to meet him,
and cried,
Hosanna:
Blessed is the King
of Israel
that cometh in the name
of the Lord.
Fear not,
daughter of Sion:
behold,
thy King cometh,
sitting on an ass's colt.
Jesus
knowing
that the Father
had given all things
into his hands,
and
that he
was come
from God,
and went to God;
Jesus answered,
My kingdom
is not
of this world:
if my kingdom
were of this world,
then would
my servants fight,
that I
should not be delivered
to the Jews:
but now is my kingdom
not from hence.
Pilate
therefore said unto him,
Art
thou a king then?
Jesus answered,
Thou
sayest
that I
am a king.
To this end
was I born,
and
for this cause
came
I into the world,
that I
should bear
witness
unto the truth.
Every one
that is
of the truth heareth my voice.
And Pilate
wrote a title,
and put it
on the cross.
And the writing
was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE
KING OF THE JEWS.
Therefore being
a prophet,
and knowing
that God
had sworn
with an oath
to him,
that of the fruit
of his loins,
according to the flesh,
he would raise
up Christ to
sit
on his throne;
And killed
the Prince
of life,
whom God
hath raised
from the dead;
whereof
we are witnesses.
Him hath God exalted
with his right hand to be
a Prince
and a Saviour,
for to give repentance
to Israel,
and forgiveness
of sins.
The word which God
sent
unto the children
of Israel,
preaching peace
by Jesus Christ:
(he is Lord of all:)
Whose are the fathers,
and of whom as
concerning
the flesh Christ came,
who is over all,
God blessed
for ever.
Amen.
For to this end
Christ both died,
and rose,
and revived,
that he
might be Lord both
of the dead and living.
But every man
in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits;
afterward
they
that are Christ's
at his coming.
Then cometh the end,
when
he shall have delivered
up the kingdom
to God,
even the Father;
when he
shall have put down
all rule
and all authority
and power.
For he must reign,
till he
hath put all enemies
under his feet.
The last enemy
that shall be destroyed
is death.
For he
hath put all things
under his feet.
But when he
saith all
things
are put under him,
it is
manifest that
he is excepted,
which did put all things
under him.
And
when
all things
shall be subdued unto him,
then shall
the Son
also himself
be subject
unto him that put all things
under him,
that God
may be all in all.
Which he
wrought
in Christ,
when
he raised him
from the dead,
and set him
at his own right
hand in
the heavenly places,
Far above all principality,
and power,
and might,
and dominion,
and every name
that is named,
not only in this world,
but also in that which
is to come:
And hath put all things
under his feet,
and gave him to be
the head
over all things
to the church,
Wherefore God
also hath highly exalted him,
and given him
a name which
is above every name:
That at the name
of Jesus
every knee
should bow,
of things
in heaven,
and things
in earth,
and things
under the earth;
And
that every tongue
should confess
that Jesus Christ
is Lord,
to the glory
of God the Father.
Which in his times
he shall shew,
who is the blessed
and only Potentate,
the King
of kings,
and Lord
of lords;
Who only hath
immortality,
dwelling
in the light which no man
can approach unto;
whom no man
hath seen,
nor can see:
to whom
be honour
and power everlasting.
Amen.
Henceforth there is laid up
for me a crown
of righteousness,
which the Lord,
the righteous judge,
shall give me
at that day:
and not to me only,
but unto all them
also that love
his appearing.
Thou madest him
a little lower
than the angels;
thou crownedst him
with glory
and honour,
and didst set him
over the works
of thy hands:
Thou hast put all things
in subjection
under his feet.
For in
that
he put all
in subjection
under him,
he left nothing
that is not put under him.
But now
we see not yet all things
put under him.
But this man,
after he
had offered
one
sacrifice
for sins
for ever,
sat down
on the right hand
of God;
From henceforth expecting till
his enemies
be made
his footstool.
Who is gone
into heaven,
and is on the right hand of God;
angels
and authorities
and powers
being made
subject unto him.
And
from Jesus Christ,
who is the faithful witness,
and the first begotten
of the dead,
and the prince
of the kings
of the earth.
Unto him that
loved us,
and washed us
from our sins
in his own blood,
And hath made us kings
and priests
unto God
and his Father;
to him
be glory
and dominion
for ever and ever.
Amen.
Behold,
he cometh with clouds;
and every eye
shall see him,
and
they also which
pierced him:
and all kindreds
of the earth
shall wail
because of him.
Even so,
Amen.
I am
he that liveth,
and was dead;
and,
behold,
I am alive
for evermore,
Amen;
and have
the keys
of hell
and of death.
And to the angel
of the church
in Philadelphia write;
These things
saith
he that is holy,
he that is true,
he that
hath the key
of David,
he that openeth,
and
no man shutteth;
and shutteth,
and
no man openeth;
And unto the angel
of the church
of the Laodiceans write;
These things
saith the Amen,
the faithful
and true witness,
the beginning
of the creation
of God;
To him
that overcometh
will
I grant to
sit with me
in my throne,
even as
I also overcame,
and am set down
with my Father
in his throne.
And
one
of the elders
saith unto me,
Weep not:
behold,
the Lion
of the tribe
of Juda,
the Root
of David,
hath prevailed
to open the book,
and
to loose
the seven seals
thereof.
Saying
with a loud voice,
Worthy
is
the Lamb
that
was slain
to receive power,
and riches,
and wisdom,
and strength,
and honour,
and glory,
and blessing.
And I saw,
and behold
a white horse:
and he
that sat
on him had a bow;
and a crown
was given unto him:
and he
went forth
conquering,
and
to conquer.
And the kings
of the earth,
and the great men,
and the rich men,
and the chief captains,
and the mighty men,
and every bondman,
and every free man,
hid themselves
in the dens
and in the rocks
of the mountains;
And said
to the mountains
and rocks,
Fall on us,
and hide us
from the face
of him that
sitteth on the throne,
and
from the wrath
of the Lamb:
For the great day
of his wrath
is come;
and
who shall be able
to stand?
And the seventh angel sounded;
and there were great
voices in heaven,
saying,
The kingdoms
of this world
are become
the kingdoms
of our Lord,
and
of his Christ;
and
he shall reign
for ever and ever.
And
I heard
a loud voice
saying in heaven,
Now is come salvation,
and strength,
and the kingdom
of our God,
and the power
of his Christ:
for the accuser
of our brethren
is cast down,
which accused them
before our God
day and night.
And I looked,
and behold
a white cloud,
and
upon the cloud
one sat like
unto the Son
of man,
having
on his head
a golden crown,
and
in his hand
a sharp sickle.
These shall make
war with the Lamb,
and the Lamb
shall overcome them:
for he
is Lord of lords,
and King
of kings:
and they
that are with him
are called,
and chosen,
and faithful.
And I
saw heaven opened,
and behold
a white horse;
and he
that sat
upon him was called Faithful
and True,
and
in righteousness
he doth judge
and make war.
His eyes
were as a flame
of fire,
and on his head
were many crowns;
and
he had
a name written,
that no man knew,
but he himself.
And out of his mouth
goeth a sharp sword,
that with it
he should smite
the nations:
and
he shall rule them
with a rod
of iron:
and he
treadeth
the winepress
of the fierceness
and wrath
of Almighty God.
And
he hath
on his vesture
and on his thigh
a name written,
KING OF KINGS,
AND LORD OF LORDS.
And
I saw thrones,
and
they
sat upon them,
and judgment
was given unto them:
and I
saw the souls
of them that
were beheaded
for the witness
of Jesus,
and for the word
of God,
and which
had not worshipped
the beast,
neither his image,
neither had received
his mark
upon their foreheads,
or in their hands;
and
they lived
and reigned
with Christ
a thousand years.
Blessed
and holy
is
he that
hath
part
in the first resurrection:
on such
the second death
hath
no power,
but
they shall be priests
of God
and of Christ,
and shall reign
with him a thousand years.
