And
I will put enmity
between thee
and the woman,
and between thy
seed
and her seed;
it shall bruise
thy head,
and
thou shalt bruise
his heel.
The LORD thy God
will raise up
unto thee a Prophet
from the midst
of thee,
of thy brethren,
like unto me;
unto him
ye shall hearken;
According to all
that thou
desiredst
of the LORD thy God
in Horeb
in the day
of the assembly,
saying,
Let me
not hear again
the voice
of the LORD my God,
neither let me
see this great fire any more,
that I
die not.
And the LORD
said unto me,
They have well spoken that
which they
have spoken.
I will raise them
up a Prophet from
among their brethren,
like unto thee,
and will put
my words
in his mouth;
and
he shall speak
unto them all
that
I shall command him.
And it
shall come
to pass,
that whosoever
will not hearken
unto my words
which he
shall speak
in my name,
I will require it
of him.
I will declare
thy name
unto my brethren:
in the midst
of the congregation
will
I praise thee.
Behold,
I and the children whom
the LORD
hath given me
are for signs and
for wonders in Israel
from the LORD
of hosts,
which dwelleth in mount Zion.
For unto us a child
is born,
unto us a son
is given:
and the government
shall be
upon his shoulder:
and his name
shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince
of Peace.
I saw
in the night visions,
and,
behold,
one like the Son
of man
came
with the clouds
of heaven,
and came
to the Ancient
of days,
and they
brought
him near
before him.
For the Son
of man
shall come in the glory
of his Father
with his angels;
and
then
he shall reward every man
according to his works.
Verily
I say unto you,
There
be
some standing here,
which shall not taste
of death,
till they
see the Son
of man
coming in
his kingdom.
Even as the Son
of man
came not
to be ministered unto,
but to minister,
and
to give his life
a ransom
for many.
And,
behold,
two blind men
sitting by the way side,
when they
heard
that Jesus
passed by,
cried out,
saying,
Have mercy
on us, O Lord,
thou son
of David.
And the multitude
rebuked them,
because
they should hold
their peace:
but
they cried
the more,
saying,
Have mercy
on us, O Lord,
thou son
of David.
And the multitudes
that went before,
and
that followed,
cried,
saying,
Hosanna
to the son
of David:
Blessed
is
he that
cometh in the name
of the Lord;
Hosanna
in the highest.
Ye know
that after two days
is the feast
of the passover,
and the Son
of man
is betrayed
to be crucified.
And as they
were eating,
Jesus took bread,
and blessed it,
and brake it,
and gave it
to the disciples,
and said,
Take,
eat;
this is my body.
And
he took the cup,
and gave thanks,
and gave it
to them,
saying,
Drink
ye all of it;
For this
is my blood
of the new testament,
which is
shed for many
for the remission
of sins.
Then cometh Jesus
with them unto a place called Gethsemane,
and saith unto the disciples,
Sit ye here,
while I
go and pray yonder.
And
he took with him Peter
and the two sons
of Zebedee,
and began to be
sorrowful
and very heavy.
Then saith
he unto them, My soul
is exceeding sorrowful,
even unto death:
tarry ye here,
and
watch with me.
And
he went a little farther,
and fell
on his face,
and prayed,
saying,
O my Father,
if it
be possible,
let this cup pass
from me:
nevertheless
not as I will,
but as thou wilt.
And
he cometh unto the disciples,
and findeth them asleep,
and saith unto Peter, What,
could
ye not watch
with me one hour?
Watch and pray,
that ye
enter not
into temptation:
the spirit
indeed is willing,
but the flesh
is weak.
He went away again
the second time,
and prayed,
saying,
O my Father,
if this cup
may not pass
away from me,
except I
drink it,
thy will be done.
And he
came
and found them asleep again:
for their eyes
were heavy.
And he
left them,
and went away again,
and prayed
the third time,
saying the same words.
Then cometh
he to his disciples,
and
saith unto them,
Sleep on now,
and take
your rest:
behold,
the hour
is at hand,
and the Son
of man
is betrayed into the hands
of sinners.
Jesus
saith unto him,
Thou hast said:
nevertheless
I say unto you,
Hereafter
shall
ye see
the Son
of man
sitting
on the right hand
of power,
and coming in
the clouds
of heaven.
Therefore the Son
of man
is Lord
also of the sabbath.
And as they
came down
from the mountain,
he charged them that
they should tell no man
what things
they had seen,
till the Son
of man
were risen
from the dead.
And
he answered
and told them,
Elias verily cometh first,
and restoreth all things;
and
how it
is written
of the Son
of man,
that he
must suffer
many things,
and be set
at nought.
Saying,
Behold,
we go
up to Jerusalem;
and the Son
of man
shall be delivered
unto the chief priests,
and
unto the scribes;
and
they shall condemn him
to death,
and shall deliver him
to the Gentiles:
For even
the Son
of man
came not
to be ministered unto,
but to minister,
and
to give his life
a ransom
for many.
The Son of man
indeed goeth,
as it
is written of him:
but woe to
that man by
whom the Son
of man
is betrayed!
good were it
for that man
if he
had never been born.
And Jesus said,
I am:
and ye
shall see
the Son of man
sitting
on the right hand
of power,
and coming in
the clouds
of heaven.
For unto you
is born
this day
in the city
of David a Saviour,
which is Christ
the Lord.
And this
shall be a sign
unto you;
Ye shall find
the babe
wrapped
in swaddling clothes,
lying
in a manger.
And suddenly there was
with the angel
a multitude
of the heavenly host
praising God,
and saying,
Glory to God
in the highest,
and
on earth peace,
good will
toward men.
But that
ye may know that
the Son
of man
hath
power
upon earth
to forgive sins,
(he said
unto the sick
of the palsy,)
I say unto thee,
Arise,
and take up
thy couch,
and go
into thine house.
And he
said
unto the disciples,
The days
will come,
when
ye shall desire
to see one
of the days
of the Son
of man,
and
ye shall not see it.
For as the lightning,
that lighteneth out of the
one part
under heaven,
shineth unto the other part
under heaven;
so shall also
the Son of man
be in his day.
Then
he took unto him the twelve,
and
said unto them,
Behold,
we go
up to Jerusalem,
and all things
that
are written
by the prophets
concerning the Son
of man
shall be accomplished.
For the Son
of man
is come to seek
and
to save
that which
was lost.
Watch ye
therefore,
and pray always,
that ye
may be accounted worthy
to escape all
these things
that shall come
to pass,
and
to stand
before the Son
of man.
But Jesus
said unto him,
Judas,
betrayest
thou the Son
of man
with a kiss?
Hereafter shall
the Son
of man sit
on the right hand
of the power
of God.
And hath given him
authority
to execute judgment also,
because
he is the Son
of man.
The people
answered him,
We have heard
out of the law
that Christ abideth
for ever:
and how sayest thou,
The Son
of man
must be lifted up?
who is this Son
of man?
Therefore,
when
he was gone out,
Jesus said,
Now is the Son
of man glorified,
and God
is glorified in him.
And said,
Behold,
I see
the heavens opened,
and the Son
of man
standing
on the right hand
of God.
Because
he hath appointed a day,
in the which
he will judge
the world
in righteousness
by that man whom
he hath ordained;
whereof
he hath given assurance
unto all men,
in that
he hath raised him
from the dead.
But
when the fulness
of the time
was come,
God sent
forth his Son,
made of a woman,
made under the law,
But made himself
of no reputation,
and took upon him the form
of a servant,
and was made
in the likeness
of men:
And being found
in fashion
as a man,
he humbled himself,
and became obedient
unto death,
even the death
of the cross.
For there is one God,
and one mediator
between God
and men,
the man Christ Jesus;
But we
see Jesus,
who was made
a little lower
than the angels
for the suffering
of death,
crowned with glory
and honour;
that he by the grace
of God
should taste death
for every man.
For it
became him,
for whom
are all things,
and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons
unto glory,
to make the captain
of their salvation perfect
through sufferings.
Forasmuch
then as the children
are partakers
of flesh
and blood,
he also
himself likewise
took part
of the same;
that through death
he might destroy him
that
had the power
of death,
that is,
the devil;
And deliver them
who
through fear
of death
were all
their lifetime subject to bondage.
For verily
he took not
on him the nature
of angels;
but
he took on him
the seed
of Abraham.
Wherefore in all
things it
behoved him
to be made like
unto his brethren,
that he
might be
a merciful
and faithful high priest
in things
pertaining
to God,
to make reconciliation
for the sins
of the people.
For in
that he himself
hath suffered
being tempted,
he is able
to succour them
that are tempted.
But this man,
after he
had offered
one
sacrifice
for sins
for ever,
sat down
on the right hand
of God;
Hereby know
ye the Spirit
of God:
Every spirit that
confesseth
that Jesus Christ
is come in
the flesh
is of God:
And every spirit
that
confesseth not
that Jesus Christ
is come in
the flesh
is not of God:
and this
is that spirit
of antichrist,
whereof
ye have heard
that it
should come;
and even now already is
it in the world.
For many deceivers
are entered
into the world,
who confess not
that Jesus Christ
is come in
the flesh.
This is a deceiver
and an antichrist.
And in the midst
of the seven candlesticks one like
unto the Son
of man,
clothed
with a garment down
to the foot,
and girt
about the paps
with a golden girdle.
And I looked,
and behold
a white cloud,
and
upon the cloud
one sat like
unto the Son
of man,
having
on his head
a golden crown,
and
in his hand
a sharp sickle.
