And
ye shall be
unto me a kingdom
of priests,
and an holy nation.
These are the words which
thou shalt speak
unto the children
of Israel.
And
thou shalt put
the mercy seat above
upon the ark;
and in the ark
thou shalt put
the testimony
that I
shall give thee.
And
there
I will meet
with thee,
and
I will commune
with thee
from above
the mercy seat,
from between the two cherubims
which are upon the ark
of the testimony,
of all things
which I
will give thee
in commandment
unto the children
of Israel.
And
thou shalt speak
unto all
that are wise hearted,
whom
I have filled
with the spirit
of wisdom,
that they
may make
Aaron's garments
to consecrate him,
that he
may minister
unto me
in the priest's office.
And
I have filled him
with the spirit
of God,
in wisdom,
and
in understanding,
and in knowledge,
and in all manner
of workmanship,
And I,
behold,
I have given
with him Aholiab,
the son
of Ahisamach,
of the tribe
of Dan:
and in the hearts
of all
that are wise hearted
I have put wisdom,
that they
may make all that
I have commanded thee;
And
he hath filled him
with the spirit
of God,
in wisdom,
in understanding,
and in knowledge,
and in all manner
of workmanship;
Then wrought Bezaleel
and Aholiab,
and every wise hearted man,
in whom
the LORD
put wisdom
and understanding
to know how
to work all manner
of work
for the service
of the sanctuary,
according to all
that the LORD
had commanded.
And the LORD
said
unto Moses,
Gather unto me seventy men
of the elders
of Israel,
whom thou
knowest
to be the elders
of the people,
and officers
over them;
and bring them
unto the tabernacle
of the congregation,
that they
may stand
there with thee.
And I
will come
down and talk
with thee there:
and
I will take
of the spirit
which is upon thee,
and will put it
upon them;
and
they shall bear
the burden
of the people
with thee,
that thou
bear it
not thyself alone.
And say
thou
unto the people,
Sanctify yourselves
against
to morrow,
and
ye shall eat flesh:
for ye
have wept
in the ears
of the LORD,
saying,
Who shall give us
flesh to eat?
for it
was well with us
in Egypt:
therefore the LORD
will give
you flesh,
and ye shall eat.
Ye shall not eat
one day,
nor two days,
nor five days,
neither ten days,
nor twenty days;
But
even a whole month,
until it
come out
at your nostrils,
and it
be loathsome
unto you:
because
that ye
have despised the LORD
which is among you,
and have wept
before him,
saying,
Why came
we forth out of Egypt?
And Moses said,
The people,
among whom
I am,
are six hundred thousand footmen;
and
thou hast said,
I will give them flesh,
that they
may eat
a whole month.
Shall
the flocks
and the herds
be slain for them,
to suffice them?
or shall all
the fish
of the sea
be gathered together for them,
to suffice them?
And the LORD
said
unto Moses,
Is the LORD's hand
waxed short?
thou shalt see now
whether my word
shall come
to pass
unto thee or not.
And Moses went out,
and told
the people
the words
of the LORD,
and gathered
the seventy men
of the elders
of the people,
and set them round
about the tabernacle.
And the LORD
came down
in a cloud,
and
spake unto him,
and took of the spirit
that was upon him,
and gave it
unto the seventy elders:
and it
came
to pass,
that,
when the spirit
rested upon them,
they prophesied,
and did not cease.
But there remained two
of the men
in the camp,
the name
of the one
was Eldad,
and the name
of the other Medad:
and the spirit
rested upon them;
and they
were of them that
were written,
but went not out
unto the tabernacle:
and
they prophesied
in the camp.
And there ran
a young man,
and told Moses,
and said,
Eldad
and Medad
do prophesy
in the camp.
And Joshua
the son
of Nun,
the servant
of Moses,
one of his young men,
answered
and said,
My lord Moses,
forbid them.
And Moses
said unto him,
Enviest
thou
for my sake?
would God that all
the LORD's people
were prophets,
and
that the LORD
would put
his spirit
upon them!
But as for thee,
stand
thou here by me,
and
I will speak
unto thee all
the commandments,
and the statutes,
and the judgments,
which thou
shalt teach them,
that they
may do them
in the land which
I give them
to possess it.
And Joshua
the son
of Nun
was full of
the spirit
of wisdom;
for Moses
had laid his hands
upon him:
and the children
of Israel
hearkened unto him,
and did as the LORD
commanded Moses.
But there is
a spirit in man:
and
the inspiration
of the Almighty
giveth them understanding.
And I
have put my words
in thy mouth,
and
I have covered thee
in the shadow
of mine hand,
that I
may plant
the heavens,
and lay
the foundations
of the earth,
and say
unto Zion,
Thou art my people.
Then the LORD
put forth
his hand,
and touched
my mouth.
And the LORD
said unto me,
Behold,
I have put
my words in thy mouth.
But
when
they deliver you
up, take no
thought how
or
what
ye shall speak:
for it
shall be given you
in that same hour
what
ye shall speak.
But
when
they shall lead you,
and deliver you
up, take no
thought beforehand
what
ye shall speak,
neither do
ye premeditate:
but whatsoever shall be given you
in that hour,
that speak ye:
for it
is not ye that
speak,
but the Holy Ghost.
For he
shall be great
in the sight
of the Lord,
and shall drink neither wine
nor strong drink;
and
he shall be filled
with the Holy Ghost,
even from his mother's womb.
For the Holy Ghost
shall teach you
in the same hour
what
ye ought to say.
Settle it
therefore in your hearts,
not to meditate
before what
ye shall answer:
For I
will give
you a mouth
and wisdom,
which all
your adversaries
shall not be able
to gainsay nor resist.
All scripture
is given
by inspiration
of God,
and is profitable
for doctrine,
for reproof,
for correction,
for instruction
in righteousness:
