with man,

he also is flesh:
yet his days
shall be an hundred

And Pharaoh

find
such a one
as this is,
a man in
whom
the Spirit of God is?
And
I have filled him
with the spirit
of God,
in wisdom,
and
in understanding,
and in knowledge,
and in all manner
of workmanship,
And the LORD

a man
in whom is the spirit,
and lay
thine hand
upon him;

to instruct them,

But there is
a spirit in man:
and
the inspiration
of the Almighty
giveth them understanding.
The spirit of God
hath made me,
and the breath
of the Almighty
hath given me life.
Cast me not
away from thy presence;
and take not
thy holy spirit
from me.
Whither shall
I go
from thy spirit?
or whither shall
I flee
from thy presence?
And
the spirit
of the LORD
shall rest upon him,
the spirit
of wisdom
and understanding,
the spirit
of counsel
and might,
the spirit
of knowledge
and of the fear
of the LORD;
Woe to the rebellious children,
saith the LORD,
that take counsel,
but not of me;
and that cover
with a covering,
but not of my spirit,
that they
may add sin to sin:
Until the spirit
be poured
upon us from
on high,
and the wilderness
be a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field
be counted
for a forest.
Who hath directed
the Spirit
of the LORD,
or being
his counsellor
hath taught him?
Behold my servant,
whom
I uphold;
mine elect,
in whom
my soul delighteth;
I have put
my spirit
upon him:
he shall bring forth judgment
to the Gentiles.
For I
will pour
water upon him that is thirsty,
and floods
upon the dry ground:
I will pour
my spirit
upon thy seed,
and my blessing
upon thine offspring:
Come
ye near unto me,
hear ye this;
I have not spoken
in secret
from the beginning;
from the time
that it was,
there am I:
and
now the Lord GOD,
and his Spirit,
hath sent me.
I,
even I,
am he
that comforteth you:
who art thou,
that thou
shouldest be afraid
of a man
that shall die,
and
of the son
of man which
shall be made
as grass;
So shall
they fear
the name
of the LORD
from the west,
and his glory
from the rising
of the sun.
When the enemy
shall come in like
a flood,
the Spirit
of the LORD
shall lift
up a standard
against him.
As for me,
this is my covenant
with them,
saith the LORD;
My spirit
that is
upon thee,
and my words which
I have put in
thy mouth,
shall not depart
out of thy mouth,
nor
out of the mouth
of thy seed,
nor
out of the mouth
of thy seed's seed,
saith the LORD,
from henceforth
and
for ever.
The Spirit
of the Lord GOD
is upon me;
because
the LORD
hath anointed me
to preach good tidings
unto the meek;
he hath sent me
to bind
up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty
to the captives,
and the opening
of the prison
to them
that are bound;
But
they rebelled,
and vexed
his holy Spirit:
therefore he
was turned
to be their enemy,
and
he fought against them.
And I
will put
my spirit
within you,
and cause
you
to walk
in my statutes,
and
ye shall keep
my judgments,
and do them.
And shall put
my spirit in you,
and
ye shall live,
and
I shall place you
in your own land:
then shall
ye know
that I
the LORD
have spoken it,
and performed it,
saith the LORD.
Neither will
I hide
my face any more
from them:
for I
have poured
out my spirit
upon the house
of Israel,
saith the Lord GOD.
And it
shall come
to pass afterward,
that I
will pour out my spirit
upon all flesh;
and your sons
and your daughters
shall prophesy,
your old men
shall dream dreams,
your young men
shall see visions:
But truly
I am full of
power
by the spirit
of the LORD,
and of judgment,
and of might,
to declare
unto Jacob
his transgression,
and
to Israel his sin.
According to the word
that I covenanted
with you
when
ye came out of Egypt,
so my spirit
remaineth among you:
fear ye not.
Then he
answered
and
spake unto me,

of the LORD

saying,
Not by might,
nor by power,
but by my spirit,
saith the LORD
of hosts.
Now
the birth
of Jesus Christ
was on this wise:

as his mother
Mary was espoused
to Joseph,
before they came together,
she was found
with child
of the Holy Ghost.
I indeed baptize you
with water
unto repentance.
but he
that cometh
after me
is mightier
than I,
whose shoes
I am not worthy
to bear:
he shall baptize you
with the Holy Ghost,
and with fire:
And Jesus,
when
he was baptized,
went up straightway out of the water:
and,
lo,
the heavens
were opened unto him,
and he
saw the Spirit
of God
descending like
a dove,
and
lighting upon him:
Then was
Jesus
led up
of the spirit
into the wilderness
to be tempted
of the devil.
For it
is not ye that
speak,
but the Spirit
of your Father
which speaketh in you.
But
if I cast
out devils
by the Spirit
of God,
then
the kingdom
of God
is come
unto you.
Go ye therefore,
and teach
all nations,
baptizing them
in the name
of the Father,
and of the Son,
and
of the Holy Ghost:
For David himself
said by the Holy Ghost,
The LORD
said to my Lord,
Sit
thou
on my right hand,
till I
make
thine enemies thy footstool.
But
when
they shall lead you,
and deliver you
up, take no
thought beforehand
what
ye shall speak,
neither do
ye premeditate:
but whatsoever shall be given you
in that hour,
that speak ye:
for it
is not ye that
speak,
but the Holy Ghost.
For he
shall be great
in the sight
of the Lord,
and shall drink neither wine
nor strong drink;
and
he shall be filled
with the Holy Ghost,
even from his mother's womb.
And the angel
answered
and said
unto her,
The Holy Ghost
shall come upon thee,
and
the power
of the Highest
shall overshadow thee:
therefore also
that holy thing
which shall be born
of thee
shall be called
the Son
of God.
And his father Zacharias
was filled
with the Holy Ghost,
and prophesied,
saying,
And,
behold,
there was a man
in Jerusalem,
whose name
was Simeon;
and the same man
was just
and devout,
waiting
for the consolation
of Israel:
and the Holy Ghost
was upon him.
And it
was revealed
unto him
by the Holy Ghost,
that he
should not see death,
before he
had seen
the Lord's Christ.
And
he came
by the Spirit
into the temple:
and
when the parents
brought in
the child Jesus,
to do
for him
after the custom
of the law,
If ye then,
being evil,
know how
to give good gifts
unto your children:
how much more
shall
your heavenly Father
give
the Holy Spirit
to them that ask him?
For the Holy Ghost
shall teach you
in the same hour
what
ye ought to say.
And
I knew him not:
but he
that sent me
to baptize
with water,
the same said
unto me,
Upon whom
thou shalt see
the Spirit descending,
and
remaining on him,
the same
is he which
baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
It is
the spirit
that quickeneth;
the flesh
profiteth nothing:
the words that
I speak unto you,
they are spirit,
and
they are life.
(But this
spake
he of the Spirit,
which they that
believe
on him
should receive:
for the Holy Ghost
was not yet given;
because
that Jesus
was not yet glorified.)
And
I will pray
the Father,
and
he shall give you
another Comforter,
that he
may abide
with you
for ever;
Even the Spirit
of truth;
whom
the world
cannot receive,
because
it seeth him not,
neither knoweth him:
but ye
know him;
for he
dwelleth with you,
and shall be
in you.
But the Comforter,
which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father
will send
in my name,
he shall teach
you all things,
and bring all things
to your remembrance,
whatsoever
I have said
unto you.
But
when the Comforter
is come,
whom
I will send
unto you
from the Father,
even the Spirit
of truth,
which proceedeth
from the Father,
he shall testify of me:
Nevertheless
I tell
you the truth;
It is expedient
for you
that I go away:
for if I
go
not away,
the Comforter
will not come
unto you;
but if I depart,
I will send him
unto you.
And
when he
is come,
he will reprove
the world
of sin,
and
of righteousness,
and
of judgment:
Howbeit when he,
the Spirit
of truth,
is come,
he will guide you
into all truth:
for he
shall not speak
of himself;
but whatsoever
he shall hear,
that shall
he speak:
and he
will shew
you things
to come.
He shall glorify me:
for he
shall receive
of mine,
and shall shew
it unto you.
And
when
he had said this,
he breathed on them,
and
saith unto them,
Receive
ye the Holy Ghost:
Until the day
in which
he was taken up,
after that
he through the Holy Ghost
had given commandments
unto the apostles whom
he had chosen:
For John
truly baptized
with water;
but
ye shall be baptized
with the Holy Ghost not
many days hence.
But
ye shall receive power,
after that
the Holy Ghost
is come upon you:
and
ye shall be
witnesses
unto me both
in Jerusalem,
and
in all Judaea,
and in Samaria,
and
unto the uttermost part
of the earth.
Men and brethren,
this scripture
must needs have been fulfilled,
which the Holy Ghost
by the mouth
of David
spake
before concerning Judas,
which was
guide to them
that took Jesus.
And suddenly there came
a sound
from heaven
as of a
rushing mighty wind,
and it
filled all
the house
where they
were sitting.
And there appeared
unto them cloven tongues like as
of fire,
and it
sat
upon each
of them.
And
they were all filled
with the Holy Ghost,
and began
to speak
with other tongues,
as the Spirit
gave them utterance.
Therefore being
by the right hand
of God exalted,
and having received
of the Father
the promise
of the Holy Ghost,
he hath
shed forth this,
which ye
now see
and hear.
Then Peter
said unto them,
Repent,
and be baptized every one
of you
in the name
of Jesus Christ
for the remission
of sins,
and
ye shall receive
the gift
of the Holy Ghost.
And
when
they had prayed,
the place
was shaken
where they
were assembled together;
and
they were all filled
with the Holy Ghost,
and they
spake
the word
of God
with boldness.
And
we are his witnesses
of these things;
and so
is also
the Holy Ghost,
whom God
hath given
to them that obey him.
And the saying
pleased the whole multitude:
and
they chose Stephen,
a man
full of faith
and
of the Holy Ghost,
and Philip,
and Prochorus,
and Nicanor,
and Timon,
and Parmenas,
and Nicolas a proselyte
of Antioch:
Ye stiffnecked
and uncircumcised
in heart
and ears,
ye do always resist
the Holy Ghost:
as your fathers did,
so do ye.
Who,
when
they
were come down,
prayed for them,
that they
might receive
the Holy Ghost:
While Peter
yet spake
these words,
the Holy Ghost
fell on all
them which heard
the word.
Can any man
forbid water,
that these
should not be baptized,
which have received
the Holy Ghost
as well as we?
And as I
began to speak,
the Holy Ghost
fell on them,
as on us
at the beginning.
Then remembered
I the word
of the Lord,
how that
he said,
John
indeed baptized
with water;
but
ye shall be baptized
with the Holy Ghost.
As they ministered
to the Lord,
and fasted,
the Holy Ghost said,
Separate me Barnabas
and Saul
for the work whereunto
I have called them.
So they,
being sent forth
by the Holy Ghost,
departed
unto Seleucia;
and from thence
they sailed
to Cyprus.
Then Saul,
(who also is called Paul,)
filled
with the Holy Ghost,
set his eyes
on him.
And the disciples
were filled
with joy,
and
with the Holy Ghost.
And God,
which knoweth the hearts,
bare them witness,
giving them
the Holy Ghost,
even as
he did unto us;
For it
seemed good
to the Holy Ghost,
and to us,
to lay
upon you
no greater burden
than these necessary things;
Now
when
they had gone
throughout Phrygia
and the region
of Galatia,
and were forbidden
of the Holy Ghost
to preach the word
in Asia,
After they were come
to Mysia,
they assayed
to go
into Bithynia:
but the Spirit
suffered them not.
He said unto them,
Have
ye received
the Holy Ghost
since ye believed?
And
they
said unto him,
We have not
so much as heard
whether there be any Holy Ghost.
And
when Paul
had laid
his hands
upon them,
the Holy Ghost
came on them;
and
they spake with tongues,
and prophesied.
Take heed therefore
unto yourselves,
and
to all the flock,
over the which the Holy Ghost
hath made
you overseers,
to feed the church
of God,
which he
hath purchased
with his own blood.
And hope
maketh not ashamed;
because
the love
of God
is shed abroad
in our hearts
by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us.
But
ye are not
in the flesh,
but in the Spirit,
if so
be
that the Spirit
of God dwell in you.
Now if any man
have not the Spirit
of Christ,
he is none of his.
But
if the Spirit
of him
that raised
up Jesus
from the dead
dwell
in you,
he that
raised
up Christ
from the dead
shall also quicken
your mortal bodies
by his Spirit
that dwelleth in you.
For as many
as are led
by the Spirit
of God,
they are the sons
of God.
For ye
have not received the spirit
of bondage
again to fear;
but
ye have received
the Spirit
of adoption,
whereby
we cry,
Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself
beareth
witness
with our spirit,
that we
are the children
of God:
Likewise the Spirit
also helpeth
our infirmities:
for we
know not
what
we should pray for
as we ought:
but the Spirit itself
maketh intercession
for us
with groanings which
cannot be uttered.
And he
that
searcheth
the hearts
knoweth
what is the mind
of the Spirit,
because
he maketh intercession
for the saints
according to
the will
of God.
For the kingdom
of God
is not meat
and drink;
but righteousness,
and peace,
and joy
in the Holy Ghost.
Now the God
of hope fill you
with all joy
and peace
in believing,
that ye
may abound
in hope,
through the power
of the Holy Ghost.
That I
should be the minister
of Jesus Christ
to the Gentiles,
ministering the gospel
of God,
that the offering up
of the Gentiles
might be acceptable,
being sanctified
by the Holy Ghost.
Now
I beseech you,
brethren,
for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake,
and for the love
of the Spirit,
that ye strive
together with me
in your prayers
to God for me;
And my speech
and my preaching
was not
with enticing words
of man's wisdom,
but in demonstration
of the Spirit
and of power:
But God
hath revealed them
unto us
by his Spirit:
for the Spirit
searcheth all things,
yea,
the deep things
of God.
For what man
knoweth the things
of a man,
save the spirit
of man
which is in him?
even so
the things
of God
knoweth no man,
but the Spirit
of God.
Now
we have received,
not the spirit
of the world,
but the spirit
which is of God;
that we
might know
the things
that are freely given to us
of God.
Which things also
we speak,
not in the words
which man's wisdom teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing
spiritual things
with spiritual.
But the natural man
receiveth not
the things
of the Spirit
of God:
for they
are foolishness
unto him:
neither can
he know them,
because
they are spiritually discerned.
Know
ye not
that ye
are the temple
of God,
and
that the Spirit
of God
dwelleth in you?
And such
were some of you:
but
ye are washed,
but
ye are sanctified,
but
ye are justified in the name
of the Lord Jesus,
and by the Spirit
of our God.
What?
know
ye not
that your body
is the temple
of the Holy Ghost
which is in you,
which ye
have of God,
and
ye are not
your own?
Wherefore
I give you
to understand,
that no man
speaking
by the Spirit
of God calleth Jesus accursed:
and that no man
can say
that Jesus
is the Lord,
but by the Holy Ghost.
Now there are diversities
of gifts,
but the same Spirit.
But
the manifestation
of the Spirit
is given
to every man
to profit withal.
For to one
is given
by the Spirit
the word
of wisdom;
to another
the word
of knowledge
by the same Spirit;
To another faith
by the same Spirit;
to another
the gifts
of healing
by the same Spirit;
To another
the working
of miracles;
to another prophecy;
to another
discerning
of spirits;
to another divers kinds
of tongues;
to another
the interpretation
of tongues:
But all these
worketh
that one
and the selfsame Spirit,
dividing
to every man
severally as he will.
Who hath also sealed us,
and given
the earnest
of the Spirit
in our hearts.
Forasmuch
as ye are
manifestly declared to be
the epistle
of Christ
ministered by us,
written not
with ink,
but with the Spirit
of the living God;
not in tables
of stone,
but in fleshy tables
of the heart.
Now the Lord
is that Spirit:
and
where the Spirit
of the Lord is,
there is liberty.
But we all,
with open face
beholding as
in a glass
the glory
of the Lord,
are changed
into the same image
from glory to glory,
even as
by the Spirit
of the LORD.
The grace
of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love
of God,
and the communion
of the Holy Ghost,
be with you all.
Amen.
This only would
I learn of you,
Received
ye the Spirit
by the works
of the law,
or by the hearing
of faith?
And
because
ye are sons,
God hath sent
forth the Spirit
of his Son
into your hearts,
crying,
Abba, Father.
This
I say then,
Walk
in the Spirit,
and ye
shall not
fulfil the lust
of the flesh.
For the flesh
lusteth
against the Spirit,
and the Spirit
against the flesh:
and these
are contrary
the one
to the other:
so that
ye cannot do
the things that
ye would.
But
if ye
be led
of the Spirit,
ye are not
under the law.
But
the fruit
of the Spirit
is love,
joy,
peace,
longsuffering,
gentleness,
goodness,
faith,
Meekness,
temperance:
against such
there is no law.
For through him we both
have
access
by one Spirit
unto the Father.
Which in other ages
was not made
known
unto the sons
of men,
as it is now revealed
unto his holy apostles
and prophets
by the Spirit;
Endeavouring
to keep the unity
of the Spirit
in the bond
of peace.
There is one body,
and one Spirit,
even as
ye are called in one hope
of your calling;
And grieve not
the holy Spirit
of God,
whereby
ye are sealed
unto the day
of redemption.
Redeeming
the time,
because
the days are evil.
And take
the helmet
of salvation,
and the sword
of the Spirit,
which is the word
of God:
Praying always
with all prayer
and supplication
in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto
with all perseverance
and supplication
for all saints;
If there be therefore any consolation
in Christ,
if any comfort
of love,
if any fellowship
of the Spirit,
if any bowels
and mercies,
For our gospel
came not unto you
in word only,
but also in power,
and
in the Holy Ghost,
and
in much assurance;
as ye
know
what manner
of men
we were among you
for your sake.
And
ye became followers of us,
and of the Lord,
having received the word
in much affliction,
with joy
of the Holy Ghost.
He therefore
that despiseth,
despiseth not man,
but God,
who hath also given
unto us his holy Spirit.
But we
are bound
to give
thanks alway
to God for you,
brethren beloved
of the Lord,
because God
hath
from the beginning
chosen you
to salvation
through sanctification
of the Spirit
and belief
of the truth:
Now the Spirit
speaketh expressly,
that in the latter times
some shall depart
from the faith,
giving
heed
to seducing spirits,
and doctrines
of devils;
That good thing
which was committed
unto thee
keep
by the Holy Ghost
which dwelleth in us.
Not by works
of righteousness
which we
have done,
but according to
his mercy
he saved us,
by the washing
of regeneration,
and renewing
of the Holy Ghost;
For it
is impossible
for those
who were once enlightened,
and have tasted
of the heavenly gift,
and were made partakers
of the Holy Ghost,
How much more
shall the blood
of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit
offered himself
without spot
to God,
purge your conscience
from dead works
to serve
the living God?
Of how much
sorer punishment,
suppose ye,
shall
he be thought worthy,
who hath trodden
under foot
the Son
of God,
and hath counted
the blood
of the covenant,
wherewith
he was sanctified,
an unholy thing,
and hath done despite
unto the Spirit
of grace?
Elect according to
the foreknowledge
of God the Father,
through sanctification
of the Spirit,
unto obedience
and sprinkling
of the blood
of Jesus Christ:
Grace unto you,
and peace,
be multiplied.
Searching what,
or what manner
of time
the Spirit
of Christ which
was
in them did signify,
when it
testified beforehand
the sufferings
of Christ,
and the glory
that should follow.
Unto whom
it was revealed,
that not unto themselves,
but unto us they
did minister
the things,
which are now reported
unto you
by them that
have preached
the gospel
unto you
with the Holy Ghost
sent down
from heaven;
which things the angels
desire
to look into.
For Christ
also hath once suffered
for sins,
the just for the unjust,
that he
might bring us
to God,
being put
to death
in the flesh,
but quickened
by the Spirit:
For the prophecy
came not
in old time
by the will
of man:
but holy men
of God
spake as they
were moved
by the Holy Ghost.
And he
that
keepeth
his commandments
dwelleth in him,
and he in him.
And hereby
we know that
he abideth in us,
by the Spirit
which he
hath given us.
Hereby know
ye the Spirit
of God:
Every spirit that
confesseth
that Jesus Christ
is come in
the flesh
is of God:
Hereby know
we that
we dwell in him,
and he in us,
because
he hath given us
of his Spirit.
For there are three
that bear
record
in heaven,
the Father,
the Word,
and the Holy Ghost:
and these three
are one.
These be
they
who separate themselves,
sensual,
having not
the Spirit.
